Truly awesome! Very inspirational,, my mother in law is 91, and gave up on everything, just sits and stares at the tv. I so admire people who are not afraid to live and create. My late father died at 93 and he was planting trees to almost the end.

Thank you All for your nice comments. Mom was sooooooo pleased when I told her about all your praise.
My MIl is the same as yours, Jasinta, she will do nothing. I tried to get her interested in a sketch book and crayolas this weekend as she used to be quite artistic. She wasn't interested in anything, let alone being creative. I also offered a coloring book just to play with blending colors. NOPE!
I hope to be like my mom when I grow up, too!

Her hand work is just absoutely gorgeous! You are so blessed to still have your mom with you and be able to share these things. My mom passed away 10 years ago and I still miss her like crazy. Cherish every day with her.

Wow Miriam, your mom's hand quilting is amazing. Those stars and moons are just darling. Momma Mildred sure is talented. Please give her big hug from her adopted family in central new york. Thank you so much for sharing her talents with us

Its great to have someone interested in LIVING LIFE in the later years. My MIL is now 94. This past winter we did a quilt for my granddaughter. The squares were started by my M years ago before dementia. I finished the sqs with her fabrics and put it together. My MIL did the hand quilting. Hopefully it won't be her last. I liked the stars and the way that she marked them. Tell her to keep up the good work!!

Since I lost my mom about 10 years ago, I think a really neat picture would be a picture of her handquilting along with a close up of her hands doing the stitching. To me, it would be priceless in years to come. She does such beautiful work. Definitely. it is getting close to being a lost art.

What an inspiration----both the work and the lady. May God bless your mom and all mothers everywhere who do things like this to pass along to the future generation. They give us hope for a brighter future and the ability for many years to come to still do our quilting and pass along our love. I want to be like them.
May God bless both of you. Thanks so much for sharing the pics and the info on your precious mom. She sounds like my Grandma who quilted into her mid 90's. Love and hugs, Shirley Mae
