Beautiful work.

My mom never did any quilting. When she was alive I gave her a quilt and she put it in a closet because she was afraid to use it. Something may happen to it! Well, my sister moved in to take care of her and she pulled that quilt out and used it to death. I'm glad my mother was able to see and use it a few months before she died.

Wow - that is great!! She is lucky to still be doing such work at her age!

Thank you, Everyone, for your kind comments! Mom doesn't get out very often, and she doesn't hear well. Oh, I forgot to tell you, she only sees out of one eye--been that way since I can remember--isnt' that something!!! She is still sharp of mind. I agree that it is "use it or lose it."

I contrast my Mom with my MIL the same age, and she won't do ANYthing. MIL used to sew her own clothes, but she put down my quilting as pretty much junk when I tried to get her interested in something and to do some piecing.

Before the fire, my Mom made me an apron from El's Egg Money Quilts book. She likes working on the smaller projects that are easier to handle and not so heavy in a hoop.

Again, thank you all for looking and for your compliments. I'll tell her and give her lots of hugs!!! Bless you, All!!!

Incredibly beautiful work! Those stitches are not only SO even, but SO tiny! I hope to one day be able to do that!! Your Mom is a very talented lady-- please give her my compliments!!! :-)

Miriam,
your mothers quilting is really nice. I hope if I ever hand quilt I can do that well.
