Denise, where did you find your information? I have an antique machine that I think is 1918 vintage. I e-mailed Singer for some info on it, but they didn't respond. Also, where did you find that plate with the dates?

Here is a picture of the manual:

Denise----What memories. I had an Aunt that had a Singer Treddle just like that one even the cabinet is the same. She would let me sew on it occasionally, (only if she watched me to make sure I didn't sew my finger) I wish I would have got it after she died.
Thanks for sharing it is wonderful.

Thanks everyone! it sure is a treasure!

Linda! I found the information with the serial number. Check yours. On Singer website, at the bottom of the page, you'll see "no letter prefix", "one letter prefix" or two letter prefix". You click on the one that correspond to your serial number. It will direct you to another page. On the left column you have the serial numbers and the date they were built. Exemple, if your serial number is "G", click on the letter G in red. It will open a PDF file with the precise date and how many of that series.

Hope it will help!

Love & hugs

Denise

My mother bought one just like that in 1959 for $50.00
I learned to sew on it. My niece now has it. I am trying to find one like it. It was fun to sew on.

Denise, Thanks for sharing the pics and info. My grandma had one like this and sewed many many quilts on her treadle machine. I loved to watch her sew on it when I was little but she wouldn't let us kids use it. Guess she was afraid we would hurt ourselves.

Thank you for bringing back happy memories of my grandma today. God bless and hugs, Shirley Mae

Bought a new digital Polaroid brand camera last year and packers paked it away and found it the other day, as I want to take pics of my quilts, grandmothers and one sent to me this summer AND the anitque Singer Featherweight I bought from a gal on E-Bay who lives close to me. Bought it b/4 I moved to denver and picked it up - or rather daughter did. If I recall, my machine is also very decorative. It is a treadle with a beautifully refinisheg cabinet with 3 drawers on each side. Yours is beautiful.
