You made me cry.

I cried when my son gave me the parcel he had picked up from the Post Office for me
I cried because I guessed what was in it.
I cried as I tried to read names and messages from QIAD Angels
I cried for the reason the quilt was made
I cried for the memories it bought back to me
I cried because I had asked for your prayers and you sent them
I cried, remembering the roller coaster of hope that my family rode every day for 2 weeks at the hospital
I cried for my Honey. It is 11 weeks today, since he left us.
I cried for my kids and the hurt they are suffering
I cried for myself, for the emptiness, loneliness and despair I feel every minute of every day
I cried because I had to put the quilt away. It is too painful to enjoy it for what it is, a comfort quilt, because everything is still too fresh and raw.
I cry now as I write this thank you. Please know I DO appreciate the effort, work and sentiments behind each and every block. One day I hope to get it out and see it with clear eyes....
I laughed thru the tears at that damned pink boot.

Katie, please take your time. The pain will ease , not go away, but later on you will want to wrap yourself up with love and hugs from El's Angels.

I'm sitting here crying with the rest of you. Oh Kadie, I do feel for you Sweetie. The emotions probably will never go away but I hope the pain & emptiness lessen over time. Someday you will be able to wrap up in your Angel Quilt and feel the love from it. Only you will know when that time will be right.
