Christmas swap??

Post by SusieQ51 » Tue Jul 21, 2009 8:20 am

Since I am the one who always brings things up but never have the where withall to start them, any ideas for a Christmas swap? Since I counted down the days til school starts here, it is only 157 days until THE DAY! I have been part of a noodle swap before with a Christmas theme. What about a charm swap or something similar?

I am planning a special Secret Santa to go along with the Secret Pals (actually just incorporating Secret Pals into Secret Santa!).

I belong to one forum that did an ornament exchange. People signed up and exchanged a homemade ornament with a person.

I like Beth's idea, swapping a small stocking with an ornament(handmade) and a couple small goodies, maybe a family recipe too. We did this on another online list and it was fun! My partner made me some soap, a stocking(brown/aqua) and a few other things and it was fun. Amie :o)

Last year (and the year before ) maryQ headed up a Secret Santa exchange and had close to, if not more than 75 participants. I'm not sure if she's planning on doing on it again this year, but she's always had a wonderful turn out. If someone would want to do another type of excnage that would add to the fun of the holidays!
