Today I needed a pick me up! My Dad passed away on Sunday so yesterday my brothers and sisters were making arrangements and cleaning out his apartment. I love my brothers and sisters but why did they have to ruin everything and get married?

There was 8 in our family... we're all grown up but I am still the baby girl of the family at 52...

Oh well - I read in another message about someone 'putting on their big girl panties'... I guess I will have to do that too and carry on till Friday when we lay Dad to rest next to his sweetheart. I know mom and dad are in heaven dancing to the music on the radio and they are ignoring their squabbling children!!

Thanks Mary again for the fabric, the charm pack, the needles and the goodies from your quilt shop! I will make sure I stop if I should ever get to your neighborhood!

Debby - I am so sorry for your loss. Please know that my prayers and thoughts are with you. When my MIL died, the night of her funeral my DH's nephews and oldest son decided to drown their sorrows and out drink Aunt Deb. Well, Aunt Deb weighed over 300 lbs then and could really hold her beer! They all passed out long before me!

While this was going on outside, inside the house my two SIL had a fist fight over MIL's wedding dress. Mom had always said Mandy the daughter of one SIL was to get the dress so she could wear it one day. The other SIL who wore the dress for her wedding wanted it. Needless to say it was not pretty. So I sympathize with you in dealing with family.

Debby, I'm glad you received your gift intact. As I mailed it, I said a little prayer that if you were having any stress in your life, it's arrival be timed to give you a little lift. Wow. yesterday my SP's parcel arrived thank you Glenda (ollie1shoe)what a beautiful selection of materials and a beautiful brooch (baby quilt) and the [patterns which I will try over the weekend! thank you once again wher did you get the black one with the pretty flowers on it if it was local might need some more of it as it is a fabulous colour in a bargello quilt! kathy

kathy was glad my package made it to australia i must admit thats the first time i had ever mailed anything out of the states and the fabric you mentioned im not sure but i think i got it in paducah ky. in april but couldnt tell you which shop it may have came from as i did a lot of shopping while i was there this year the brooch did come from the quilt museum i remember where it came from so glad you liked everything happy quilting from tour friend in alabama glenda (ollie1shoe)

Well today is my BOM class at my LQS. So I will be shopping for my SP
And if I am fast I will get to the PO by One o'clock.
I missed posted for this month's SP. I thanked SewSew in the July thread because I thought she was my July SP. She mailed out her package so early. LOL

I received my SP package yesterday and what a treat it was.

Deb(dsf618), thank you so much for the lovely FQs, pattern, tape and note. In my old age(LOL)I have had to start marking my rulers and I had been using masking tape so this flourescent tape will certainly come in handy.
