I made this for my sister last Christmas. Her son had just graduated from Basic Training:

I wish I had made something like this when my son was in. Looks good Cindy. I bet it meant a lot to both of them.

It's a little different than the "official" blue star - but I made the white 12" x 18" and the outside red is about 3".... the star is one that I got from Keepsake in a package - I plan on using the rest of the stars for Robert's quilt... only it's still in my head!
