I started with a 6.5 in.square and cut them on a diagonal. The white strip is 1.5 in. wide(you can make it wider if you like,I just chose that).The strips are just a bit longer than the diagonal. After you sew them,square up to 6 inches,placing your square up diagonal in the center of the white strip. I just eyeball them.It's a sper easy quilt,and I'm in love with the pattern. I am seeing one in fall colors...Have fun!!
