Good Morning!!
I sure hope today is a great day for everyone. what a crazy weather day yesterday was here in Southern Calif. Lightening Strikes all around and a woman hit and killed by lightening, another woman killed when her car was crushed by a tree that was hit and wildfires..
Today marks the real count down until school is out. today is a full day, tomorrow minimum day then 3 full days next week with 6/11 being a half day. I then have 3 non-student days!! Yesterday also marked my last IEP for my current students..it was eventful...we had to call the police to escort the Mom off campus earlier in the day so it was tense when she returned for the meeting.

Last night I almost finished the HST pieces for my quilt. I am determined to get it completed by next Wednesday! This is the block in green from another quilt..

MaryZ...it doesn't have a name but I love love this block it goes together fast (unless your husband decides it should be huge) here is that green top pieced

well my coffee is finished so I better go hit the Garden Grove Freeway before it becomes a parking lot.

after work...I am meeting Buttercup at a quilt shop to buy backing for my quilt top so it will be ready to go to the LA when I finish piecing it. My LA quilter was at a grand re-opening of a local quilt shop last weekend so she is anxiously awaiting getting it to do. I will give her an update at a B=Bq tomorrow...

I need to run...ta ta

Carolyn, I love the colors in your quilt! It's really pretty. And I also love that interesting wall next to it! Thanks for sharing.

Wee One - I can only imagine the show going on in your yard last night! You had me laughing outloud as I read. How long will you be in Canada? I'm sure you told us before, but the say memory is the second thing to go. I forget what the first thing is.

gmaan, I'm jealous. You're camping and I'm not. But my brother (who lives near me and who's wife is a mostly silent member of this forum) is tooling around somewhere in your neck of the woods. BOLO for a Sightseer and a guy who doesn't look anything like me!

Off to walk!

Good Morning everyone. I hope you are all having a good day so far or at least a productive morning. Lyn I held my breat for fear one of your dogs got hurt, as I read your account of last night with the Elk. Whew! I hope you guys have a great but safe trip.

Ann & Paul, I hope you will cont. to have safe travels. Aren't laptops just the berries? I'm happy that you can pop in & let us hear from you!

Grammiequilts I am so excited for you to get your new machine! You deserve it and will really enjoy it I think. Great having you back with us. My prayers cont. for you grilfriend.

Wow SewCarolyn! Sounds like a very trying day you had yesterday! Bet you will be really happy to be out of School for the Summer break! Take Care!

To ALL of of you, please don't over do on that ugly word & you know the one I am referring to... "work". LOL But if you must and at times we all do, just look at all you have accomplished at the end of the day and feel good about it. A good day behind you/us. Even if there were unwanted speed bumps to cross, it will be a better day than a wasted day. So have a good one & I'll try to pop in later to say hello.

Love You ALL
Agnes

Maryz - not sure how long we will be in Canada. Last yr was 4 months. DH has talked about going to Oregon to do a float trip on one of the rivers. If we do that, then we won't be in Canada to the end of Sept., like last yr.

Good afternoon all!!!!!!!!!

Been a busy day here. Have my secret pal all together and will put it in the mail tomorrow. Also, put together the June Latto blocks and they will also go into the mail tomorrow. Cleaned and sorted fabric that I had put in a plastic bin. Was a mess.

FedX was here dropped off "Stars Across America" Book. Looking forward to doing the project. For someone who needs to work on her flying geese this will help.

WeeOne - what a day yesterday with the Elk. So happy that your dogs were not hurt. Hope that today is better.

SewCarolyn - your quilt is beautiful. You did a good job on it.

I need to run the sweeper, not fun.

Everyone have a great afternoon and stay safe. There is a lot of storms out there.

Heading for the Motorhome, we keep it in Loveland.

Momma Elk showed up about 10:30 this morning. She was on the south side of the house. Later I headed out the west door to clean up dog poop in the neighbors yard (Black Lab doesn't like to poop where he retrieves). She heard the door and when I stepped out she was 15' away. Told the neighbors, Sorry, not cleaning up with her here.

I'll check in on Sat. evening, when I have internet again.

Good afternoon.. it is drizzling and cool here in my neck of ky. Went to go pick up my stars across america book and had to come back inside to put on long pants and grab a jacket, it's cool outside. What happened??

Carolyn I like you quilt, it's very nice. Next time dh changes block size, have him make them!!

Need to work on my block(s) for the swap I am doing, The sweet treats and send along. They should be fun, although the sweet treats had me baffled for a while I finally came up with something. Have 4 done so only 16 left to do.

Grammie what kind of new machine did you get? I bet you're excited and anxious to play with it.

Have a good afternoon.

Well my car has been out of commission since monday. It keeps overheating. It took till today for them to find out what is wrong with it so it is going to cost $240 to get it fixed but I need my car so I will get it back tomorrow. It is no fun when your car is in the shop.

I have been quilting my king size quilt the last week or so and am very close to getting it finished. The goal is for it to be quilted before my surgery next tuesday which will be rough because I also have to work at Joann's sat and mon night along with my regular job. Atleast I will get a little extra money while I am off so that will be nice.

Tonight more quilting will be done and it is a good time because for some reason it turned cold again. Imagine that. I have a sunburn from last weekend and now it is cold again but this weekend it will be back to 87 for a high.
