How absolutely neat!!!! More details please. Thanks to whomever posted the singer website. I have my gramma's treadle and I need to try and find it a belt but need to do a lot more investigating.

I forgot to mention a book you might want to get. It's called "Featherweight 221 The Perfect Portable" by Nacy Johnson-Srebro. This is a great book about the 221, it's history and complete instruction manual.

Thanks for all of your kind comments. I call her "MY BABY". When I took her to guild, everyone ooh'd and aah'd. Her birthday in 1948. I was 5 years old when she was made. Uh oh, I told my age. Oh well! My daughter is a good listener and I guess she heard me say that I would love to have one. She, my son and my husband comspired together and there it was on Mother's Day. When I saw the case, I knew what it was(some of my friends have them) and I nearly fainted. It was a huge surprise and the best one I've had in a long time. She sews like a dream.
