Oh Jana, I like the idea of putting our names on one of the blocks. That would be neat.
Welcome back Carolyn we missed you, but know you had a great time. Got your email.

Hello Carolyn!!! Welcome back!!! Missed you too!
Jana, great idea.
What I do when I make a label, using "Word" , I make a grid. Exemple, If I assemble 4 X 5 blocks, I make a grid of 4 columns and 7 rows. the first row is the name and year of the swap; the 5 other rows and columns correspond to each block in the front. I write the name/member's name, city, etc... so I know that this block in the front corresponds to this person on the label. And then, the 7th and last row, I indicate that it is assembled & hand quilted by me.

I think 19 works out great. I know all of us had more than one idea.... and with my scrap box, I can always make #20.

Doucefleur - Do you print this label you're talking about, or do you stitch the names by hand? I think the idea of having everyone's names on the quilt is very nice, but wonder about the enormity of the stitching task it might entail.

Betsy, I print it on an "inkjet printable fabric" that I buy at Walmart or LQS. Here's an exemple.

I'm hearing so much about the printable fabric, I'm really going to have to try it. Denise, I really like your idea. I know that QIAD has that paper and with the nice surprise we got with Orion's Star Quilt Book, well, just maybe hhhhhhhmmmmmmmmmm.
Thanks for the java, teacup.
