Stitching Lines

Ok, I am going to toot my own horn. Since Quilt in a Day sells this, I think I can talk about it. I'm not trying to sell you anything. I just want you to buy from Quilt in a Day. I created Stitching Lines. I got tired of drawing lines over and over when making half-square triangles and snowball corners. It was just too tedious for me. Call me lazy! Anyway, I designed a paper strip that looks like a ruler. It takes the place of drawing lines! You just lay it over the diagonal of a square and sew on the dotted lines. It's just that easy. But the real beauty is that it tears away very, very easily. No need to find a pair of tweezers to pull out the little left overs! And it provides an accurate 1/4" seam allowance. I find that I don't have to make my squares bigger and then square up. So that's another tedious job that I have eliminated.

Well I certainly appreciate you for explaining this item to us. I did see it here on the site the other day and started to order some but wasn't real sure what it was. Thank you so much for this product!!! I bought some just within the past couple of weeks with some other stuff I ordered from QIAD.
notaquiltsnob I LOVE IT!!!!!!! I can't say enough about this product...it is awesome! You can cut it to any size and it tears away like a dream!! Perfect every time!

Thanks, Joanne. I'm glad you liked it. You know, it took me a couple of years of trying out different papers and different techniques using paper. I was afraid I was the only one who was neurotic about having to draw all those lines over and over and over again. I'm so glad to have found something that others appreciate.

I am definitely going to go and find this. I am working on a mystery quilt with a group of wonderful ladies who are very experiences (I am not) with the half square triangles etc., and we are working with 2 1/4" squares. This sounds like just what I need. Thank you

Chrissy, If you are making 2-1/4" squares, you can probably cut your Stitching Lines about 3" long. You should get at least three from each strip, or 300 from each package. Stitching Lines go further with smaller squares.

I also use these when I'm sewing the strips together to make a binding! They work great and my seam is always straight!!

I've used them that way too. I like a bias seam when I sew border strips together. They work great for that application also.
