I like both quilts. They are bright and sunny.

I agree with Purrfect-lady, maybe your DB should learn to hand quilt. The quilts are beautiful. Colors are so bright.

Thank you Everyone!
My DB will be seeing both of these soon. I will be machine quilting the log cabin and giving him that one and hand quilting the larger Bear In The Woods quilt. He told me a few weeks ago that he would like a hand quilted quilt. He really appreciates quilts. I won't make him learn to hand quilt because I enjoy hand quilting.

Thanks again for all the comments, I plan on printing them out and showing them to my DB. I know he will enjoy reading them.

Caroline - I hope you are able to see the pics. Try the refresh button.

(((Hugs))) to All,
Carol

I see the difference in the log cabin blocks. I do like the ones you used better with the other blocks. So very nice. Lori

Quilter7, I saw both of these quilt patterns done up at a LQS today. Yours are so much prettier. The top one at LQS was done in a smaller version and mostly reds. I like your color choices of blues and greens so much better. The bottom one was done in really bright, wild colors of oranges, reds, and gold or yellow and really loud prints. I didn't like theirs at all. Too loud to sleep under. LOL

Just wanted to let you know that the same patterns can look so diff in a diff color choice. I didn't like the LQS samples at all. I LOVE yours. Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful quilts.

Hugs, Shirley Mae

Shirley Mae - Thank you so much for your comments.

Some of you might have thought I did not like the log cabin blocks, but they simply did not work with the rest of the quilt when I tried to use them in the center. Actually, I love the various colors in the log cabin blocks. If you decide to make the Bear in the Woods It needs the light of the log cabin to be the same as the background of the trees. I really appreciate all of your comments. I know my DB will enjoy reading them too!!
