Both are made with a large foam noodle, that you can get from Wal Mart in the Toy dept. The noodle is about 3 1/4 - 3 1/2" across, so they don't bend much. I cut them to 36". Buy 1 yd. plastic table cloth material with the flannel back (try to find the heaviest you can). It is 54" or something wide. I pinned the 36" side to the noodle, then on the other 36" side I turned down an inch or two and spaced 4 buttonholes across, they don't have to be very big because I hang it on the mirror with 4 suction cup hooks. When I'm done using it, I roll it up and use 2 or 3 Velstraps, got these at Ace Hardware. They are 18" long straps with a ring on one end to run the strap thru and back to lock on itself.

This photo shows the design wall I have at home. I don't have any free wall space, so I bought 2 yds or whatever length to fit my closet doors. Again I turned down a couple inches and made buttonholes so I could hang it up with the over the door hooks. If I need in the closet, I unhook one side, fold it in half, hang it.

There's always a way to have a design wall!
