That is one beautiful block!! What a great challenge! Do you know what the block pattern is called?

calicopuzzle in the book, the block is called "Swirling Star"..it's an 11 inch block..don't know if it's an original block or not. I've never seen it before anywhere. The quilt is called "Stars and Stripes".

Joanne this is just beautiful. Might write to the company,tell them about how you feel about the directions. Afterall, you have spent a lot of money on the fabric, plus your time and you deserve better.
