Just wanted to put my 2 cents in. Sewcarolyn and I have been talking about co-hostessing one we think we'd call "Sweet Somethings". It would feature desserts and other sweet things, but I wasn't planning on posting the actual plan until May or June as I will be completely swamped until then. I think Carolyn was in agreement about the timing, so keep your eyes open for more on this, if you're interested.

PS> I think I am going to work on the Think Pink block in honor of my sister and her best friend from high school who both have breast cancer in its final stages. Thanks for giving me the site!

Speaking of ice cream, what about a Summer on Ice Swap of El's Ice Cream Cones? Doesn't that sound delish?

Keep stitchn,

What or where is the fatcat patterns? The summer swap sounds like fun, how many blocks do you make or how excatly does it work?
Thanks

Fatcatpattern's is Sindy Rodenmayer's site. Some of her patterns have been used for swaps here on the forum, such as Tattered Gardens, and Teacupcurio.

I have been in other swap groups that have ornament exchanges around christmas time, the ornaments are homemade ones and depending on the time given can be simple or complicated designs...They don't necessarily have to be quilt oriented but it would be nice if they were. If there is any interest in something like this I would be happy to host it. You would make an ornament for each person who signs up.( by Sept 30) I would say they should arrive to me no later than thanksgiving and then I would turn it around and back to you by Dec 1. You would have several months to do them so I would see no reason for anyone to drop out if they use proper planning.
Just throwing the idea out there.
Beth
