Does anyone have a photo of a yellow brick road pattern quilt? I just met by phone and will meet in person tomorrow the most amazing lady and she mentioned the yellow brick road pattern. Thanks

Chrissy1 right up above your post to the right, click on search and then type in Yellow Brick Road and click on topics. It should bring up several pics. If it doesn't, I will try to find some pics for you. I am anxious to hear how your meeting tomorrow goes. I take it your new friend is a quilter? How fun! Maybe you will have a new quilting buddy.

Hi Cathy, well I have never had a quilting buddy, but if I were to choose one she would definitely be it. In a way I know her already (long story). With this old webtv I wasn't able to get into the posts after doing search, but I will do it at lunch time at the office. Thanks, I never even realized I could do that on this site DUH!!!!

Thank you so much for sharing the photo. I know that a lot of people say it is easy, but I think it will be a challange to me. Ihavedone a turning twenty and that one was easy to me. I didn't do a good job and machined quilted it with little experience, but my aunt sure loves it. I tried a disappearing 9 patch and it disappeared right from my house, to a lovely quilting friend in florida, I could not make heads or tails of it and she put it together great. I have done one 9 patch for a friends doll and started another, so I am keeping my fingers crossed that I will be able to do the yellow brick road one day

All I can say briefly (which is very unusual for me, I am a chatter) is my new quilting buddie is absolutely amazing, down to earth, kind, loving and very very helpful. Oh, and I now know what a yellow brick road looks like in person.

Re: Yellow Brick Road?
I have collected fabrics for a yellow brick road, but haven't cut it out yet. I have done a Turning Twenty and a Quick Trips, so figure I should be able to do it. What has intimidated me about all three was cutting it out, but I've managed 2 out of 3, so you can too. If you want a simple pattern to practice on, I like the rail fence. It's hard to ruin it.

I haven't been on this site in a while but some of you may remember this YBR quilt I made for my son (now 3 years old).

My family just grew by 1! We have a new son, just 3 weeks old. I plan on making him a quilt too, when I get a little time!
