Good afternoon,

I need a little break.

Slept late and didn't even make it to 3rd service. I doubt the building fell in w/out me.

Put a roast in the slow cooker and have been sewing. Wondered why I wasn't smelling the roast, so went to check. When I repositioned the cooker, I unplugged it. DUH

I, too, am waiting for the March pal. For once I am ready, have all the stuff together and just need to know where to send. This may never happen again.

Want to finish the blocks for the mystery quilt and then make a birthday block. Somehow, I missed the posting about the early March birthday so I need to hustle. I have the fabric and pattern, so should be set. Also this week I want to cut out 6" squares of white for the students to sign. I'm making a simple quilt for the teacher.

So much for a little break. Now that I know we'll have dinner, I'll go back to sewing. I'll probably check in later.

Thank you Q7! Once again you saved my butt! lol! Now I've printed it all out...again! This should be fun!
Once again here I sit! My son stopped in and I got him to show me how to download my pictures into my computer. I just didn't know how! He acts like it's soooo simple..well, duh, if I had done it for 8 yrs. like he has, I'd think it was simple too!!! LOL!!
Luckily, I bought a Kodak easyshare, and it came with software so it was simple. Well, for him.
GP I'm wishing I had your snow! We just have cold wind...
You all are so productive today..I'm a slug. But I did do some laundry..
I am going upstairs!

those cookie cutter pincushions are darling aren't they. At JoAnn's yesterday I bought a couple of Easter themed cookie cutters and want to use them for pincushions.
Just popped on to print something. All of the kids went to Disneyland and John is running errands for his Mom. whew..it is briefly quiet.

Joanne - I looked in on the UGRR Swap and saw your beautiful Bear Paw Blocks. You did a great job! I really am enjoying watching that sew-in. All of you are doing a wonderful job.

I was thinking this morning how truly blessed I am -- my son has/is not in any trouble, was accepted to the college he wanted, I have a job I like, I can make quilt tops until the wee hours of the morning (and I do), my parents (78 and 79) are whirlwinds -- never know when and where they are off to next, like this morning, they drive over an hour one way to come to church to be with me. After church Daddy starts making a list of everything that needs to be done around my home (since the divorce, I haven't done as well as keeping it up, I found this forum and quilting :). He told me to take a couple of days off and we are going to get it done... Life is good! And the laundry beckons... Lori

LadyBess/Lori - What a blessing to have your parents watching out for you! Yes, you should be counting your blessings. Guess you will be busy for a couple days while he helps you out. You will be so happy to have all those little tasks done!!

I'm so glad you found those little pincushions, Carolyn! I fussed around with them this afternoon for awhile...I'm glad I saved all those cut off pieces of batting when I trimmed the extra off of the quilts I did! It's perfect for these pincushions.
Thank you for the compliment, Q7! I LOVE the bear's paw. But I'm not sure how much I'd love it if I had to do a bunch of them! LOL! Alot of cutting.
Chriss that ole' storm is all around us...it's just cold and windy here all day. Geneology will suck you in for hours! lol! Stay focused!
Sandy, I'm afraid if I had an embroidery machine, I'd never get to quilt! lol! Have fun with it..they are really neat!
Weeone, glad to hear your BIL is doing well!
Oh Peach, post some pictures of that beautiful snow!! And Daisy!
Ladybess, what would be do without family and friends??

Amazing Race will be on in a little while..love that show!

Don't know who usually posts this, but remember it is March 1. Sign in for the drawing.
