Mommyquilts,

I wish I could give you some exotic diet, but I had lap band surgery. It is not as fast as a bypass, but seems to be the more healthy, reversible option.

I have finished the parts of the tree block so now I will sew them together tomorrow! Yeah!! Then I will start the flying geese.

Q7, it is still too wet to weed eat here.. everything gets tangled up... but the green is sure pretty and the wild flowers are starting to pop up everywhere....

Barb, I haven't had calazone in a long time...

Dolores and Lois, you are like two little kids having fun at Christmas... I am so glad you enjoy your new toy.... it makes me smile to hear what you do with it...

ME, glad you're back,

Maryq, if you need another house to clean you can come my way... I am an awful house keeper...

Michelle, what a great turn out.. how totally cool... if this keeps up you will need to rent a hall to put everyone in.... way cool.

I didn't get much done at all today, I fell asleep in that darn recliner... ugh.. I tried to keep up with my ugly swap and hope I have everyone down who sent and received their fabric.... and now it's time to hit the showers....

I'm back! Gee, you all have been busy!!!

We had breakfast and went grocery shopping at Kroger's. Came home, put the groceries away and took naps! Fixed supper, big salad, baked bologna & dressing, corn & baked beans.

And here I am! How's that for a totally unproductive day! lol!

Well, we drove the 60 miles. It snowed the whole way, but the temp was 32-34 degrees, so nothing stuck. We went to Crackerbarrel for lunch, then to Lowes to buy the light fixtures. When we came out 30 min. later, the snow was piled on the truck and it was starting to stick. A quick trip to Hobby Lobby for some yellow and orange fabric for exchange and stopped at Sears. Hubby bought me a stainless steel cookstove with the new dual oven. It has a small oven at the top for those cookie sheets, biscuits, lasazna, etc. I figure 90% of my baking will be done there. The salesman said the preheat time is very short and it doesn't heat up the room as bad in the summer. Started home to meet 5 friends in our town for supper. It's usually an hour and 10 min. It took 2 hours. Snow was getting pretty deep. About 2/3 of the way home, something happened up ahead and we sat for a half hour. Once traffic moved, we passed two trucks with cattle trailers sitting in the middle of the road. They had made it up the hill, so we don't know what was going on, but the tour bus that decided to turn around and go back got off in the ditch, so police were stopping traffic to pull it out and the tow truck wasn't there yet and a van was just sitting there. My husband said if it was like me or our daughter, she just had enough gas to get home and the delay made her run out. Anyway, we were glad to get home. We have 4 wheel drive and I told our friends that we didn't have any problems, it was all the other people. The guy in the 2 wheel drive jeep in front of us was all over the road.

That drive home sounds scary to me! Glad you made it home safe and sound.

I made on a mistake on one of the strips so I unsewed this evening and I will be resewing them tomorrow. I am glad I discovered it before I sewed everything together. Everything is now organized for the resew. I just need to cut new background pieces.

I can hardly keep my eyes open now so I will say Good Night Everyone! Pleasant Dreams!!

Morning all. Jeff dropped me off at my quilting friend's house around 6:45, and we took off to have his monthly board game with his friends. Deb and I spend many hours sewing yesterday. I always feel very comfortable being at her house.

The new signature pattern is being sold now at QIAD, it's called 'How Charming' and goes together REALLY fast.

I'm trying to get as much sunshine in this weekend as possible. Jeff and I are either going out for a drive or work in our back yard. His choice :)
