Hi all I see you all are very busy I saw a pattern on connecting threads for an easter table runner well we cut out a quilt for dolores for a tossed nine patch we started out Lap size but got carried away and cut out enough to probably make a queen size how easy is that in less than a half an hour five inch blocks go fast soon I will be cutting out strips for a lovers Knot I realy love that pattern also but before that I have to sew some more baby stuff for shower gifts.

Well we cut squares and LOTS of squares. I started out to cut enough to make crib/lap size and I now have enough for a QUEEN Size (how did that happen). While I was ironing the fabric to be cut Lois was cutting away and did she ever cut away. That accu cut was busy today and It was just wonderful! ! ! !
If you are ever in our area and want to have a cut a thon with us just email us we are always game. I have to check on the crock pot it really smells wonderful .
Have a wonderful evening ALL

I'm working on a block from a magazine. The instructions suck! It's making things way harder than they need to be. Once I get the block made, I'll rewrite my own directions for future blocks. UGH!

Well gals, after doing chores and a little sewing, it's time to relax. DD got her part of the house cleaned up and some of her laundry done and I worked on the upstairs... cleaned and washed floors, cleaned bathroom and repaired my light fixture, dusted all over (oh my gosh I didn't realize it was so bad!) Sewing the binding on my Paducah quilt and put some blocks together for new grandbabies quilt.
DD is making something for supper--she cooks like I do...what ever comes in a box! Tonite I'm going to sit and stitch the binding and then going to organize some of my patterns and see if I can find a pattern for the Easter Table runner I want to sew for BFF. Got all my new fabric washed, ironed and folded. Still a lot of organizing to be done, but I think I've worked hard enough for one day!
Have a pleasant evening everyone and I'll check in with y'all tomorrow

Sewcaroly, that tulip runner is SO sweet! Way out of my range tho. I might have to try the other spring one, the rectangles. that was cute.
Mgrammy, I just recently took over the chapter here for Project Linus, the other leader was pretty far up in the mountains and had a hard time getting people to meet. Today, the girl scouts in a local troop had to plan everything, I just went to support them. It was incredible! I guess last year they had about 30 girls show up. This year, 139 girls came, not counting parents and siblings! I have 145 finished blankets in my van (my DH will kill me if I bring them in tonight!) and two large bags of donated fleece because they ran out of time. WOW! I have embroidered patches, and I brought 68...not nearly enough! Whew....It was absolutely amazing. And, I had many other leaders ask if they could do something similar with their scouts.
I was really nervous because I've never hosted any kind of sewing get-together. Technically this wasn't sewing, but that's just a detail. I was so nervous I even yelled at my DH this morning. But I think now that I've gotten one under my belt, maybe I can continue on....

Good evening,
From the reading, we have all been busy today. Of course, I slept in, but ran around like a nut afterwards.
ME - So glad to see you posting again, no matter what it is.
GP - I would love to have a pix of you wresting backing on the basement floor. The visual images are wonderful. Did you win and what hold did you use.
Lets see, mailed my ugly fabric, went to Hardware Store to get the dog tags before the price goes up tomorrow, stopped at drugstore to pick up DH's perscription and drove 35 miles to a not so LQS to get some fabric. Then, stopped at a department store to look for a dress. I have to give a presentation on quilt history next month and all my clothes are 90lbs too big. Lucked out, found a nice one on sale with an extra 40% off. Woohoo. Came home to dogs standing w/ their legs crossed needing to go out.
Now I'm seriously considering doing some sewing. Of course, I'm also considering going to bed. Decisions, decisions.

This is the block with the bad instructions. I'm going to make 2 more and make a spring table runner. The pattern is in the newest
Quilt Mania.

Z- that's a nice block! Don't you hate when you have to simplify the instructions? I think the designer should pay you for that...
rosie- Good for you on the weight loss...what did you do?
I'm going to make some more coffee!
