Carol... I knew I could count on you to get your next block done! It is beautiful...

Denise... don't feel bad I am so far behind and I'm the host... LOL! You'll catch up when you do find some free time... if you do find some could you send some my way? LOL

I don't have any DGKs today so I finished up the blue bird, too. I don't normally have this much time to sew, so I'm trying to make the most of it! Now I need to finish up some Easter projects & do a little cleaning.

I've printed the appliqué & paper piecing patterns. I'm not good at paper piecing. I might end up doing appliqué for the bunny and a traditional block for the lotus... but I will give it a try.

Everyone's blocks are so beautiful! :-)

Thank you, Joanne & Denise! Both of you do such exquisite applique & I love seeing your blocks.

Denise, the lotus blossom was my first ever attempt at paper-piecing. Since then, I have picked up some Carol Doak foundation papers and downloaded some free designs from her website. When things settle down (I can dream, LOL) I am going to try some more pp! Thanks again to Alina for pushing me to try new things!

Carol, thanks for encouraging me to try the paper piecing. I'll sure try to make the lotus blossom in pp. :-)

I'm really enjoying this sew along! Thank you, Alina for hosting this. It is so much fun. On my monitor the backgrounds look pink but they are really a bright wow.
