Re: Sunday Feb. 22nd
Happy Sunday!! We've had a few flurries and it is really cold, but I have nowhere to go but the sewing room. I have a big pot of veggie soup simmering for when DH comes home this evening.
T - it is so good to have you back w/ us. You know we worry.
GP - Who makes this foot? It sounds like something we could all maybe use.
Sandy - Sorry about the tooth. Maybe you just have a little piece of something caught between the tooth and gum? I get that sometimes and if I press gently on the gum it will pop out. (I know it sounds gross, but it's cheaper than a trip to the dentist.
I need to go back to Chit Chat, I missed the update on Mary Ellen.

Re: Sunday Feb. 22nd
I am going to play with my embroidery machine software today, learn how to use all the features.
The swelling is really more underneath my ear, just the edges of it reach up to my jaw. There is no tooth all the way to the back of my jaw, it was pulled years ago. May not even be dentist realated, at least it doesn't hurt and I am ignoring it for today. LOL
Dolores and Lois - I looked up the Accucut...that looks pretty awesome, but (heavy sigh) one new toy at a time
GP - Thanks, but I am not in pain just looks like I have the mumps
maryq - the big question is...are you going to do it again???
BarbieJean - please post a picture of your butterfly so I am no tthe only dork to get excited about her first embroidery

Re: Sunday Feb. 22nd
well I finished my bear paw block for the sew along... woo hoo.... and even though it is early I am thinking it is time for lunch.... but once again not sure what to have... ugh....
I could easily sit in a chair and take a nap but am trying to stay away from the sleep chair.
the rain has stopped for now...
hope you are all having a fun day.

Maryq, glad to hear you have thawed out, you brave girl!
Quilter7 and Rosie, this foot is called the Satinedge foot (generic) and I found it on www.creativefeet.com They have a video showing how it's used if you scroll down the page. It also does all kinds of tasks, although I was bummed-out that it doesn't vacuum, do laundry or load the dishwasher! LOL! Says it will do satin stitching on the edge of napkins, can't wait to try that out. I just tried it on the Juki, and yep, there's an adapter for it and it worked fine. The only problem I had was I'd used batiks cut to a Drunkard's Path pattern and my machine needle wasn't real sharp. I tried it with a fresh needle and it did just fine.
Quilter7, those two Dbl.Wedding Ring quilts are kits, they are laser cut with notches for matching all the curves. I decided to start a private BOM with them, goal being to make one block a month for each quilt. I don't think I could handle making two of those quilts all at once, and I know if I made one I couldn't face doing another! LOL! So maybe this way I'll have them done in a couple years without being burnt to a crisp! LOL!

Good Day to All,
First I want to thank those who have been praying for DH's BIL. He's been out of ICU a couple of days & yesterday afternoon they removed the tube that was in his nose to his stomach. They started him on a liquid diet....he said everything tasted bad...too salty or sugary, etc.
I pull out my Bernina 440 to repair a pair of DH's pants. Just turned it on & it's making a bad noise, "EEEEEEEEEE" sounds like a motor running too fast. Haven't tried to sew with it. Going to look for a screw driver that will fit & take the back off.

Lyn, that happened once to me with my 440, too. Try turning it off and then back on again, that's what I did that time and it stopped doing it. ???? Hope it's nothing wrong with it!

oops, forgot, if you go to that site to check out the presser foot, click on the far left under "presser feet" and then scroll down to see it. Forgot where the video is on there of them showing it in use, but it's on there somewhere.

Georgiapeach, Thanks! I called the Bernina store in Corpus, it's open on Sunday because it's in the Hancock store. Anyway, she said check the bobbin winder. DUH! The lever must have been hit when I was putting it in the carrying case or something. I didn't even notice the spindle moving. This is what happens if you don't sew ever day. You forget what noises your machine makes.

Lyn - This may seem like the obvious, but be sure it isn't just your bobbin motor that is engaged.
