I'm up. Planning on going out for breakfast this morning, that'll be nice. A good breakfast that I won't have to cook! I'll probably just do some hand quilting today, DH is home and I don't get much piecing done when he's here.

I'm going shopping at Joann's today 10% off the total order, Yes!
My hubby and are home alone this weekend........strange. When you have 6 children this is a rare happening. He said he would take me shopping (something we NEVER do together.) He doesn't know what he is getting into going to Joann's.
I hope you all have a great Valentines day. I left you all a greeting in chit chat.

Good Morning from snowy Wisconsin!
I'm at DS place in Milwaukee... we went out to dinner last night, today will be going to see Pink Panther2, after I do a little shopping -- at the spice store, and Trader Joes!! I eat well while I'm here, which I shouldn't.
Have a great day:) It's going to be wierd not doing any quilting!!

All right, Vicky, what have you done with your kids?! DH and I haven't been home alone for years; we live for Girl Scout camp weekends!
No sewing for me today, off to work today and tomorrow...I am the 0700 "set up" gal today, so I'll be home by four-ish.
Maybe I can cut some strips this afternoon...have a new project in the works, unfortunately a comfort quilt for a teenaged girl who is about to lose her mom to cancer. We are all hurting, but I can't imagine what A. is going through. My two girls and I decided to make a Lover's Knot quilt in a lap size...chose the pattern because of the ties between a mom and daughter. Emma helped pick colors, mostly pinks. I hope it will be seen as a comfort and not a painful reminder of her mom's loss.

Up early as it is Scout Merit Badge shindig today and I gotta be there by 7:30 to help with registration which starts at 8. I am teaching the Family Life merit badge from 9 - 11. then I will help serve lunch to all these wild scouts. DH is teaching teaching the fishing merit badge. DGS will do his fishing, Citizenship in the Nation and Art.
Then maybe we will go do dinner or something and then with any luck there will be enough time to finish the tote bag I am working on.
Have a great Valentine's Day everyone!

Happy Valentine's Day Everyone!
Lois - You still sound excited over the Accu-Cut Go! Enjoy your visit with your sister.
JW - What a wonderful treat for you to go to breakfast. Doing hand quilting is a very relaxing way to spend the day.
Vicky - Glad you are getting a break from all your children and have time with your DH. Enjoy the shopping trip. I forgot to use the 10% off total purchase yesterday. I was so excited to get 50% off Fusible Fleece, I forgot. The Jo-Ann's I shop at has not had Fusible Fleece by the yard in the past so I bought 2 yards.
quiltnewby05 - Enjoy your visit with your son!
CaroleJ - The young lady may find a reminder at first, but I think later she will be comforted by the love of someone making it for her.
Valerie - Have a wonderful day! May it be rewarding to help the scouts get their badges. It sounds like the parent-caregivers are working very hard for the children.
I will be cleaning, doing laundry and sewing a bit. I think I also may go shopping. Right now DH is sleeping. I am sipping my tea and think I will just catch up. Have a good day everyone.
Carol

Vicky-No locking the kids in the basement! They make messes:) Enjoy your day off with DH:)
Quilter7-Much more relaxing now that I have the right needles! I had to call my grandma and ask her what size she uses. This'll be the first quilt I hand quilt on my own, she or the quilting group in her hometown have always set the quilts up for me. It's definately a new experience, and not as much fun when you don't hear alot of women with more life experience than you yakking while quilting:)
CaroleJ-It's hard to lose your mother, (my mom passed away in Oct.) but I can't imagine how much harder it would be to lose her as a teenager! Your friend is in my thoughts. She's going to need all the comfort she can get.

Good morning. I am sooo tired. Joann's was so busy last night and my body feels it everywhere. Worse yet I have to go back tonight. I really need to find something to do at home to earn extra money.
Anyway I am going to pin up a quilt I am getting ready to quilt and have that one ready to start on. It is a king size so it will take some time.
I have showered but still don't feel awake. Today I feel every bit of my 49 years of age YUCK.
Everyone have a wonderful day. My only hope is that it will rain and maybe more people will stay home tonight or stay home so it won't be too busy tonight. Bad for Joann's but good for me LOL
