I have bought it at Hobby Lobby, Hancocks, even Joann's. It's sold in the shirtings area because 60" is considered to be garmet width. Amie

I have been looking for the same thing. Nice to know that it is out there. I was going to use it to make some swaddling blankets for my daughter's baby. She is always complaining that normal receiving blankets are too small to swaddle a growing baby. She had one from a friend and found out it was homemade and she wishes she had more. It is amazing the answers that can be found on this forum.

I know they make a 108" flannel. You might check with your quilt shop and see if they carry it or might be able to order it. Flannel needs to be of good quiality. The cheaper kind tends to rub off, like you pulled the fuzz off in places.

If you make a rag quilt (which are beautiful) be sure to wash your fabric first (some say not too, but I did anyway and it was fine) and then after you make the rag quilt wash and dry it at least twice.

Be careful as it sheds a lot and can clog up your washer or dryer. I emptied my dryer lint basket a couple of times. And wash separately not with anything else. My DDL forgot I told her that and washed the quilt with the baby clothes. She was not happy with me....LOL

GrandmaTax - flannel really does make lots and lots of fuss in the dryer lint thinger. I washed some last weekend and I was afraid my dryer was going to catch on fire. I was washing about 7 to 8 yds. I washed it and dried it twice.
