Wow Carolyn I am pooped just reading your story.. thankfully you were there for the in-laws, you must be a real blessing to them.... changing docs sounds like it is the best thing for them... and wouldn't it have been nice if Lori was there to save you the running around???

Barbie Jean, tell us all about it, what did you make.. was it fun? my quilt class is on Thursdays... we have a bigger turnout this time around so it is neat to see what everyone is up to.

Vicky, I want to see the snail trail block... sounds interesting. your daughter will someday hand it down to her daughter and tell her about the wonderful mom who made it....

my gosh Lori, how on earth do you sew something that small... you must be very talented...

Me, good luck tomorrow... I pray this works...

Didn't Tul have a MRI today??? anyone heard from her.

Grammie, I could be persuaded to donate a block for your quilt.... maybe two... but I have to draw the line somewhere...lol...

Brenda, how exciting, but we probably won't hear from you for a while..... UPS just ain't what it used to be.... my grandma got some Omaha steaks for Christmas, they left them in the driveway... now grandma is 86 and rarely if ever goes out front where the driveway is... ugh.

oops, DH has dinner on the table.

TTFN ( ta ta for now

Hi all. Q7, thanks for the concern. Nope, the keys have not appeared and we had 6 more inches of snow today so it may be awhile.
I'm putting off replacement until the last minute.

Me, I so hope your surgery goes will tomorrow. Are you anywhere near a river valley or industrial area. Sinus problems are rampant in the Ohio valley. I know several people who have had that type of surgery and are really pleased.

Well, spent the day on the toidy w/ a bucket in my lap. Feel great now. Guess whatever it was is out now.

Watchin an NCIS I missed, then will go sew.

Later

Rosie

Quilter7, I'm embroidering Jungle Song animals. Under DGS name is a Zebra. Under his date of Birth is an Elephant. Above his height & weight are 3 Geckos and above "Made with (heart) Grandma" are 3 Giraffes. Only I'm redoing the Zebra. I used a blue on his name and you can't see it very well.

ME I am sure all will go well tomorrow for you and you will find relief.

Rosie sorry you can't find your keys still and yep we sure did get more snow didn't we.

I just got to sew a little bit on my machine so far. It kept beeping and me and giving me an error message. I had to find the codes in the book and found out I threaded it wrong. So I tried again and no more beeping. After Becca's bath I am going to try to do some free motion with the Singer on a quilt I am working on but I will practice first on a practice piece. I will keep you all posted and will definitetly post a picture soon of my table I made. I think I have a pretty good set up right now.

Quilter7 Thank You. Yes the ice is gone from where we live. Thank goodness. We did not get it as bad as those in the SW & Southern part of the State.

Jameswife have you still got ice in your area? You really need to watch out for shellfish in your home. That is scary.

Meq, I hope the minute they put the IV in they will give you something to relax you & dull your pain.

Rosie You poor lady, you may not see the ground for another couple of months! You have been hammered with snow. Is it like this ever year where you live?

Brenda I know you will really enjoy your new machine. Are you going to name it?

Well I am going to go read for awhile. It has been a long day & I am beat! I spent a couple of hrs at Mardels Christian gift & book store this afternoon so I have some new books to read. I hope all of you have a great evening, and that you rest well & have a wonderful day tomorrow!

Hugs

WeeOne - The quilt sounds really adorable. I hope you will share a picture of the blocks with us. I also have a Bernina and really need to take the class (online) later this month on using the embroidery unit. I am very confused about downloading designs for example.

Oasis-He usually just has shellfish when we are out, but we couldn't afford to go to the sushi place and he only gets it about once every 3 months or so(torture in his mind that he can't have it every day) so we thought it would be okay. I'll pass that on though so we can discuss it and come up with a solution.

Cathy-the ice has cleared up, there's a little bit in the shade in our backyard but that's about it. Thankfully, when I do have a reaction, it's usually mild enough that benadryll takes care of it(occasionally not though) if we catch it in time and the benadryl is near. And I usually push it and don't go in sometimes when I should because I hate needles. And they always seem to find a reason to draw blood and I have the smallest veins known to man.

jameswife, I was told that some allergies get worse with each episode. I had a reaction about 3 yrs ago from dust/mouse dropping in the back corner of our basement. That's where DH & his former wife(lost her to cancer)had the Christmas tree stored. My eyes swelled shut & had trouble breathing. Then last year I went to the Stock Show with my DD & grandkids. We were at the petting zoo area & it started. I had to have a policeman call the EMT's to get some Benadryl. Now I care a bottle with me. I have a suggestion for you....DH wants shellfish, he cleans the kitchen & dishes so you don't come near the stuff.

Quilter7, are you downloading designs from a web site or are you talking about downloading from your computer to the machine?? I have a Bernina 440.

Jameswife, my mother was allergic to shellfish...she could EAT it, but she couldn't TOUCH it! Isn't THAT weird!? Just have him use paper plate and plastic fork and throw it away!

Well, I'm late getting on here! I see Rosie told you about our new snow...it's so pretty and there's no ice (thank goodness!). Luckily, we don't have to go out in it!

I've been sewing black sashing all day! First I had to wash the fabric (I didn't trust the black not to run!). It's coming together pretty fast..should finish the sashing tomorrow..then figure the borders.

My sew alongs are both "behind", but until I get this top done, I'm not starting anything else..might "lose my place"! lol!

Prayers for all!

WeeOne - Your Dust/Mouse Dropping episode at the petting zoo sounds frightening! I have a 630E - I mean from a website.
