Jameswife

Love the treadle machine!!! I have my grandmother's that she got for a wedding present back in probably 1912 or so. It's the first machine I learned to sew on. It's not in great shape, but I'm sure glad I have it!

I am so glad it's friday! even tho the week went by quickly I'm ready to stay in the house all weekend and PLAY. DD will be home tomorrow, and from the looks of HER room, I know what she'll be doing. (I think there is still carpet in her room, tho you can't see if for the clothes on the floor)

Finally figured out how to make DVD player in my sewing room work so I am THRILLED. I can watch movies and sew all day!! So if you don't see me post much over the weekend, you know where I'll be!!

Have a great weekend everyone

(and yes mequilter.. I am READY for spring)

Hi everyone!
Grammie, the last time I had a shower to go to like that, for someone who wouldn't have a clue of the work involved in a baby quilt, I did a rail fence...quick and easy! Or that's when panels come in handy! Sometimes you don't even have to put on borders.
Our satilite dish went out on Thursday..but we still have the local channels! That's good, because they can't come to fix it until Sunday afternoon!
Rosie, maybe you left your keys in the truck somewhere???
I worked on my wild crumb quilt blocks most of the day...won't be long. They work up FAST!
Well, time for the news, after I take a quick peck on the rest of the forum! BBL to say goodnight...
Chriss, so glad your GD is with you!!!!! yeeee haaa!!

Mary Ellen and T - I do not think anyone would want to waste good fabric on a dripper. One use and in the garbage it would go. lol

Went onto Sew Vac and checked out the Singer embroidery machine. Looks like a nice set up.

Sandy, they have a factory serviced one on SewVac for $630 with free shipping. Brand new for $690, free shipping. The $60- also includes some software. Look under www.sewvacdirect.com

Rosie I hope you find your keys. They are not cheap to replace nowadays.

Jameswife, that is a very nice treadle machine you have. I love the decorations on it.

It looks like everybody has been busy today. I was lucky enough to go to the Quilt/Sew/Craft festival here in town. I was looking for a few specific things, found 1 of them and then as I was walking out the door of the first building I found what I didn't have on my list and I just had to have it!!! Silly me bought a new iron...

I guess I will just have to take some extra time and go to my LQS to get the material that was on my list.

Trying times.......

Thanks to all of you for sending good vibes that I find the keys. The truck is a little Ranger and we pretty well tore it up. Not in my car either. I went out w/ a magnet, but there is so much snow (we got more last night) I think I'm just going to wait for a thaw of some sort.

Am going to bed soon, as DH has decided he wants to do the errands tomorrow in reverse order (grocery first) so we'll get up early and he can take me to breakfast.

<<Fluff>>
Have a great evening.
