Well, I'm bummed. I was up until 1 a.m. mountain time and thought, hey I'll start the Sew In, never done that. I could not get the page to come up & after 10 minutes I gave up. Oh, well.

Vicky, sorry to hear your headed to a funeral this morning.

jameswife, What kind of cutting mat do you have? I've never seen one with shapes on it. You lucky gal to have a treadle machine. When I was 15 my parents had an auction to get rid of my grandma's stuff & I begged to keep her treadle machine, but they sold it.

The RV quilt should be done today. I got the binding on the top edge done last night. I will say a prayer before I cut the 2 bottom corners, so it will fit the bed, then put the skirt on.

Lyn, it's a June Taylor mat that I got at Wal-Mart. It's hard to find mats here that I can afford and that are big enough, but that one works perfectly for me.

My treadle is a reproduction Singer Treadle that they put out a few years back for thier anniversary. My grandma has 2 antique treadles, one was her sister's, the other she picked up somewhere and is from 1900. She won't give them to me no matter how much I beg:) If you want I can post a pic of my machine, it's really basic and not an antique, but I still love it:)

Morning ladies!

Woo HOO its Friday!

I am debating should I clean the kitchen or should I clean the sewing room. HMMMM both need it and I don't really want to do either.

jameswife, Yes, please post a photo. I had no idea that Singer did a reproduction. I may have to go hunting on ebay.

MAWmum, go sew! Don't you know that dust is a protective covering for furniture! :) As for the kitchen, are all the dishes dirty, if not, no big deal. Oh, do you have a dog. My DH tells a story about washing dishes with Cold Water.....that was the name of the dog!

Yes, please post a picture of the treadle machine. I, too, did not know the Singer Co. made a reproduction.

Carin - Clean 30 minutes, sew one hour, clean 30 minutes, sew one hour. It will get done! You will be amazed how hard you work in those 30 minutes cleaning.

I love both my machines. I don't get much opportunity to buy machines, so I only get ones that I really love and will last a long time. I saved up for 3 months to get this one, and it was so worth it!

That machine is really nice. I have never used a treadle machine. I am sure it would be challenging at least for me. I am at work waiting for the end of the day to get out of here. I need to stop at goodwill since I am on the lookout for a table I can use for sewing. I hope one day they will have what I need. Carin I hope you are sewing since cleaning doesn't sound like too much fun compared to sewing.

We are back from the funeral. It was said there that 1500 people went through the lines yesterday for both calling hours. She was well loved.

I feel so very tired right now. It was a draining experience. Both mournful and joyful. We will all miss her but we are joyful knowing she is in the arm of Jesus. I think I will just lay down for a while. Then sew some later.

Shocking as it seems, schools are closed again today. I don't remember more than 2 days, much less 4.

I'm going out after the noon news and look for my keys. I cannot believe I lost them when I wasn't even using them to drive. I tried to back out my car, gave up and used the truck. Of course, we had more snow, so this could make it interesting. Also, am determined to get my car out of the driveway today. I despise driving the truck.

Guess I force myself to bite the bullet and sew more today. It is such a struggle. LOL

Brenda, which Goodwill do you check. There is one in Oakley that gets a lot of the Hyde Park castoffs, so you may have luck there. Call me if you need directions.
