The quilting on it is special. Did you do it by hand or machine?

I am a new member. Thank you for the welcome! I did the quilting by hand. I love to hand stitch. I started to hand piece because I think the original was hand pieced. I gave up on that quickly and used the machine. This was only my second quilt. The first was a white on white whole cloth that I did for my granddaughter's birth 11 years ago. I'm retired and time to do more now. I just got the book for a tossed nine patch quilt. I want to do a full size and thought it might be best to get simple patchwork for more experience at cutting and piecing.

I haven't signed the quilt. I don't want it too obvious. Maybe an embroidered name and date on a lower corner of the reverse?

What a pretty quilt and a lovely way to honor your grandmother! I love the handquilted motifs in the solid blocks.

You will enjoy the Tossed Ninepatch...quick and easy!!
