Half square triangles
http://trishstuart.wordpress.com/2008/1 ... triangles/
I was wondering if anyone has tried this method of making half square triangles. It interested me since you have the accuracy of paper piecing, but you don't have to rip out the paper. I am thinking about making my red and white quilt using the broken dishes block which needs a lot of half square triangles. Once you made your templates you could also keep them and use them over and over.

That's a neat way to do paper piecing. Thanks for posting the link. There must be dozens of ways to make HST and I think I have tried them all. LOL. I use the WonderCut ruler to make HSTs when I need a lot of them.

My SIL gave me a CD called "Triangulations 2" for making half square & quarter squares. It has a bunch of different sizes to print off. I haven't tried it yet, but looks useful.
Thanks for posting this link. I could use this when I'm in the RV & don't want to print a bunch.

I watched the video ... seems like way too much work for me! I usually make my HST's a little bigger and then square them up to make sure they're nice and accurate.

I have the CD for Traingulations 2 also and love using it. For our bus trip last Oct to DC we had 48 ladies each make a 12" block with lots of traingles, and this worked wonderful. We gave away 4 quilts with all the blocks and included the sashing and borders. Soon we should see those quils at show and tell.
