What'd you get for Christmas?

Post by xteacher » Wed Jan 14, 2009 3:35 am

Okay, did anyone get any great new notions for Christmas? I am giving myself a post Christmas gift. I just ordered EQ6. No one in my family quilts, so the only one who gives me any quilting gifts is my quilting buddy.

My dh bought me EQ6 for Christmas! Does that count as a notion?
Now if I can just learn it (it can do SO much!)

I got the GO! Accucut machine and lots of dies. I pre ordered it and was told it would be mid Jan before it was ready to ship but it came a week before Christmas. I was having pain in my hands and shoulder from rotary cutting any length of time, just enough for me to realize I would be having severe problems later on if I kept it up. This machine has changed my quilting life.

DH gave me a cutting table, rotary cutting blades and a sharpener for rotary cutting blades.

Now for the life of me I do not know why I had never purchased a cutting table before. They are wonderful!!!

The rotary cutting blade sharpener is still in the package but I will be trying it soon.

Just before Christmas during a Shop Hop I purchased new rulers that I really love.

I also just bought an applique (#23) foot for my Bernina. I look forward to using it.

Theoretically, Paducah is my Christmas/b'day gift. I just hope it all works out.

I got a bobbin saver and a gift certificate from my son. I got myself a new ruler & some other little goodies while shopping for others. My family thinks I have everything I could ever use (haha) so they don't go there for gifts. Gift certificates are always great!

I got a nice box full of Gutermann's thread in a wide variety of colors. I am thrilled!
