We had a baby shower for a gal at work... I like to think of her as Miss Drama queen... it will be interesting to see how she acts after the baby is born.... mom's know too well how a baby can upstage us...lol...but the pot luck part was good... too much food as usual..

XTeacher, I have been to Arkansas, it is a beautiful state... I went to Benton and to Little Rock... I was doing family research, my family was there in the 1830's and their house still stands in Little Rock... it was fun.

Judi, I will continue to pray for your DGD, and her mom and dad... they must be worried sick....

OH my gosh Mcmema, 7??? is that degrees??? how come the blood doesn't freeze up in the grand kids veins??? poor little munchkins...

Kho, glad dgd is feeling better, hopefully by now she is running circles around you....

Susanna, how are you doing... I am glad you had fun last night... I sure thought about all of you....

Well, I want to go cut out my UGRR block and maybe even sew it together....

Chriss...we had a baby shower at work too, but ours was for a delightful 1st grade teacher who is having her 2nd little one and now she will have a boy and girl.. This was the 2nd of 4 for the school year. The next one I am making a quilt for because we are friends.

It was hard for me to be up at the baby shower because I had just hung up from talking to the Mom of a student I work with. The darling little girl is having an MRI tomorrow. Last week she had an MRI on her knee due to pain and they are now doing a work-up to determine if it is
osteosarcoma or lymphoma. she has had medical issues regarding her bladder and kidneys since pre-school she is now 8.

on an upbeat note.....Julia (my 19 year old) just asked me to go shopping with her for fabric for a quilt for a friend on Friday and then wants me to help her get started on Sunday :) Susanna she will probably get going on a mid-arm fast!!!

Grammiequilts how is your little grandbaby? I had a little DGS that had RSV and it was scary. Will def. keep your little one in my prayers. I really hate to see those little ones sick!!!

All of you in that deep freeze, please take care. For those of you not....please enjoy.

Hugs

DDIL called today, Baby cheyanne is about the same they are checking for rsv and they said her little collapsed lung is improved a bit. but the little thing is weak and not her usual happy self. Keep praying...I know it helps....I have seen a lot of prayers answered on this forum and everytime someone posts an improvement I know in my heart it is because you all have prayed. Going to watch the Hockey game for a while. I hate it when the games come on at 10. we are playing the Anehiem (sp) Ducks. so all you west coasters root for my Detroit Red Wings...(yeah right) lol....tomorrow.

I haven't gotten any more done on my quilt! DS2 was very fussy this afternoon, and I have no idea why. Oh well. We just got back from Olive Garden(yummy!) so I don't have to cook or do dishes tonight. I'm going to try to work on it some more so when I get the border and backing fabric(hopefully tomorrow) I can finish it.
