We - It sounds like you had fun and you had better protect your stash from being raided!

I just finished 2-1/2 hours of yard work. Then I picked a fresh navel orange to eat. It was the first I have picked this season and it was wonderful! I think I need a shower before sewing.

no problem Bubbles... give me your list too.... lol... I am glad the kids went to your church... nothing funner than showing off a grandkid... hope you gave him a squeeze for me...

Me, how cool a turkey... we had a one here that roosted and brought her babies for the corn... unfortunatly the cats were quicker than the baby turkeys....

We... Bubbles is right... I have her inspect all my fabric..... you really need to send it to her, she's a great inspector... (psst Bubbles, how was that... do you think she bought it? remember, I get 10% of what she sends)

Well Sandy, looks like you had best keep that DH of yours around for future handy man jobs.... how cool

Well, I am going to make a macaroni salad and then finish tying that quilt and maybe even get the binding made... it has to be done by tuesday night.... ugh....

you all have fun

pssssssst! I'm still waiting to hear from her! Don't blow the cover, ok??

My local LQS is having a 25% off sale - ON EVERYTHING IN THE STORE! It was tough but I did my part the other day, lol!

We saw a BIG flock of turkeys on the way to church today. The highway we drive is about 45 minutes alongside the Mississippi River and we get to see all kinds of critters. It's great! Today we saw turkeys, lots of eagles and well, assorted ones that didn't cross the road too well, lol.

We get a lot of eagles this time of year due to open waters around the dam and it's fascinating to watch them.

Been playing with my EQ6 some today. This thing is amazing!

Umm WE? I can tell my mailman to keep an eye open for that shipment, ok? And do NOT listen to anyone who uses that word "raid" in regards to your stash inspection. She's just kidding! Trust me.......

Hi everyone. We went out of town to our best friends' house. She and I went to the LQS yesterday. They were having a big sale. When we pulled in the parking lot it was FULL. And you could hardly move around in the shop. We browsed for about an hour and my BFF picked out some fabric. They had 3 cutting tables going so we got in the shortest line. An hour & 45 minutes later Vicki got her fabric cut. Since I just picked up 1 yd. cuts (5 for $25) and a charm pack and a magazine I didn't need to stand in line so I found myself a chair near the cutting table. I have never seen anything like it - I thought about GP as I watched women buying bolts of fabric. They had to undo each bolt and measure it and then fold it back up. One lady was cutting and another was writing down the yds. & prices. I had so much fun watching all this. Some ladies would buy 2 or 3 yds. and then the bolt would be passed to someone else in the room that wanted some of the same fabric. I couldn't help but wonder what those women were going to make with their fabrics and with bolts of it, no less.
Friday night and last night I worked on sewing the binding down by hand. I only got 2/3 done...I'm slow. We headed home this morning, stopped and ate breakfast, then I unpacked and threw some fabrics in the washer and I've been working on a tote for my sister's birthday. Had to quit as I ran out of fusible fleece. Tomorrow it'll be a trip to JoAnn's at lunchtime. Y'all have a great evening.

PS - I bought myself a headlight. It is GREAT. The lighting is awful in our living room and this thing works great. It's bright and lightweight. I told my BFF Friday night that I was having a hard time seeing and, as a joke, she brought me her DH's big old headlight....but I put it on and was amazed. We went to WalMart last night and I found a LED, lightweight one back in the camping area where all the flash lights are. It was only about $16 and SO worth it for these old eyes.

Hi all, I am home and just putting away some of my quilting that I do in the car and when I am away. Never work on this stuff at home though. It is a permanent ufo (qfh..quilt from h....) I am happy to be home and back in my sewing room with all of you. Lurking around reading some posts. Will be back tomorrow....

Bubbles, haven't heard from WE in a while, she must be considering your offer to inspect her fabric... maybe she is looking for a big enough box to send it in.... ( mums the word)

Grammie, glad you're back

dinner is ready, talk with you all later

It snowed a teesy bit today. We watched the Steelers! WOW! Great game.

hmm just had time to sit down and it is very quiet so I guess I will download some photos and do some scrapbook pages while I eat and watch TV

I finished the main part of a top today, added borders (pinned them) didn't like them so now I need to re-think what I want to use. Scrappy didn't work AT ALL even though the pattern uses scrappy. Guess I need to get a TOT or solid instead for me to like it and then use scrappy for the binding.
