Alicia's Poinsettia Quilt Top
I've finally gotten DD's quilt to finished! The back will be pieced Disappearing 9 patches, and the plan (LOL) is to quilt a Holly leaves & berries design in the light open squares with stippling everywhere else. The companion quilt will have the opposite 9 patches & stripes.

Was the border done with a preprinted border fabric? I have never seen a traditional quilt finished with that kind of border. I like it! Great idea! One more question what came first the idea for the border or the body of the quilt.
