Good Evening Gals
Just came up from the sewing room to find something for supper. Chicken strips and tater tots--doesn't that sound delicious!!!
Actually got a few things on my list done today. The last load of laundry is in, tho now a pile of ironing awaits me. Worked on the tote bag I was hoping to finish--just need to cut fabric for the straps. DD helped me layout the rose quilt and we pinned the backing to the floor, got the batting on and top on and safety pinned it like crazy. I am SO scared to actually quilt it.... afraid I am going to totally screw it up. I have a walking foot that helps a lot if I just want to stitch the ditch, but I'm really wanting to try doing some free motion on it with my darning foot. Think I'll practice a little first on some other fabric. Even found a little time to sneak in a nap!
Debi.... it's good to see you again! Hope that your neice is healing a little more every day. She is in my thoughts and prayers!
One of my winter projects is to get closets cleaned too Irishgram, but I've been stalling---need just the right day -- one of those days when I feel really ambitious and a day that my sewing room doesn't call my name!! I have a small walk in closet too, but there's so much crap in there I can't walk in there! Need to find some big boxes, thoroughly clean and take a trip to the local Goodwill Store!
Oh dear, I hear the oven buzzing... better go get my supper or I'll be testing my smoke alarms again!

We got a couple of inches of snow today - it looked kind of pretty falling and covering everything with white, but I still prefer summer's green! I finished the top for our daughter's wedding quilt but I'll post a pic after I quilt it tomorrow on my long arm.

Re: It's Saturday, January 10th
We have had snow most of the day today. Was busy cleaning and laundry. My DH is on the road department and has been plowing all day so I made Cream of Broccoli Soup and Sloppy Joes so he could stop home to eat and get warmed up. Then I sewed and sewed. Had a great time. I am working on a quilt called "Rolling Fields" which is made with two Jelly Rolls. I bought the Choco-Latte fabric kit from my favorite Seller on Ebay. It looks warm and cozy.
Getting ready for bed now. Hope everyone had a great and safe day. Laura

I'm just SO EXCITED!!! I posted pictures!!!!!!!!! My DGD took some pictures with her new camera and I put them on Photobucket and finally got up enough nerve to try to post them. I am so dumb when it comes to doing stuff like that...
Anyway it worked!!
Gotta get to bed...but I'm not sleepy yet. DH is watching football (he's never up this late!). And I'm getting hungry again.
I didn't get to sew today, and DH wants to take down the tree tomorrow, so may not get to sew then either! Sigh!!

Sounds like we all had a great day..........Sweet dreams to all, time to go fluff the pillows, snuggle under a quilt and enjoy a peaceful nights sleep. Chat more in the morning. Debi
