Good Afternoon Everyone!
I ran errands this morning! I went to the sewing machine (Bernina) dealer and bought the applique foot (#23) for the machine and also picked up the small embroidery hoop. I also needed some thread. I am very excited to have the applique foot and the hoop. I have another foot I have used for the applique but this definitely looks like it will move very easily. I wanted the small hoop to do things like monograms, because I will not need as much stabilizer. I think they give you the large one so you will waste stabilizer!

Grocery shopping and laundry still need to get done, so I think I will go grocery shop. DH is going flying later with a friend so I will have early evening alone for sewing.

Debi - We have missed you! Glad to see you again. Tell us how you are doing on the HQ16. Looking forward to progress reports!

Sharon - I love the Garmin Nuvi my DH gave me. I call her Beverly in honor of Beverly Cleary (Author). I had just finished reading her autobiography when DH gave me the Nuvi last summer. She really keeps me from getting lost and it keeps my DH from getting frustrated with my directions, so we don't fight about it.

I also have the Garmin Nuvi and I love it. Got me to the DesMoines quilt show last year with no problems whatsoever. In the summertime when I want to go rummage saleing I just feed the addresses into my Garmin and off I go. It shows me the distance from wherever I am to the various points I have programmed in, so I just choose the closest and go. Keeps me from having to make a map. We named mine Anne after a mutual friend my quilting buddy and I have that always knows everything. (hehe).

Well, I have my quilt top all put together, with the exception of the border. Will be going down to finish that shortly. I love having football games or something similar on while I am sewing, does not require attention, byt makes noise. Unless it is the Packers or Brewers, then I have to watch.

Thanks for the welcome backs, I feel as if I have come home. LOL :-)

Just spent some time moving a TV and DVD player in the quilting room and now I can watch tv and DVDs no matter where I am. DH is helping to move bookcases and a four drawer file cabinet to give me more room and then it is off to HQ land for me!! It has been such fun setting up everything and it really is beginning to look like a quilting studio in there. DH is ready for me to help with the file cabinet be back soon Debi

Cynthia, can't wait to see your heart wallhanging. I'm glad you got it figured out. Now you can have a good night's sleep. I just woke up from a couple hour nap & thanks to some tylenol, I'm feeling a bit better. Picked up some pizza from Rosati's today & I'll definitely be going back there time and time again. I think that's what we'll be having for supper, too. Not sure if I'm going to attempt sewing at all, my eye is twitching pretty bad. I'll check back in later.

ME-- glad your feeling a little better:)

I think 9 hours of quilting is enough!! Time to zone out in the living room, while I wait for the rabbit to finish cooking!!

We had a very good time in DesMoines. Its not a bad drive. We stayed at the Holiday Inn, that was supposedly within walking distance. We did walk it once or twice, but mostly took the hotel shuttle there. I did not move my car all week.

Getting around to find the classes was a little confusing until you got acclimated to the center. Could have been better marked. It was the first year being there and I am sure they learned alot. Overall we enjoyed ourselves and I probably will go back.

I might as well confess here too. I posted pictures of my completed Mystery quilt top, however they are posted at the end of the directions for posing pictures.

I am sorry, I am guilty and I am not going to attempt to move them. It took me almost as long to post the pictures as it did to make the quilt.

BJ - The quilt is quite beautiful!! I love the colors! (If you want to post it in a different section once you have copied the image stuff you just go to a different section and press the button that says "Insert Image Code" and past it in the box. You have done the hard part already by uploading into Photobucket. Just don't delete from Photobucket!
