On my way home I thought about you girls and guys who live in the colder climates. I cut thru a neighborhood by my office on my way home. Today there was a man taking down his outside Christmas decorations - he was barefooted, was wearing shorts, and he didn't have a shirt on. Here it is the 9th of January and it was 80* today. Oh, well, we will have change during the night.

Guess everyone on the east coast is having dinner!

Got the thread all organized, then started on the fabric strips. I bought 6 photo boxes on sale at JoAnn's and have labeled them with strip sizes. I need MORE. Also, there isn't enough room on the shelves for the boxes..too much fabric! Hung my new cork/dry erase board, so I have a place to tack up my project papers and make notes to mail stuff. Cleaned out some drawers. Whew! And I'm not even CLOSE to being done!!

Back again, got all my blocks finished today, yeah! Now I can play with a border design I have in mind. Need to buy some black fabric tomorrow, & maybe a pretty floral for the backside of this batik scrappy. DH & I are thinking that would look pretty on it. Depends on what we find on sale!

We have a chance for rain & maybe a little snow tomorrow, hope it doesn't mess up our outing plans. I have quilt club in the morning, then we also have a gift card for Outback that my son sent us for xmas, so hoping to hit there a bit later in the day.

I am so happy I got all these blocks done, ugh!

Hope everyone is staying safe, warm & dry right now, lots of weird weather going on all across the country it seems right now.

Cindy, glad DH is doing better.... what a blessing.

Q7... I am not going to eat KFC... I am thinking maybe making some buritto roll up things.... spread chive flavored cream cheese on a flour tortilla, put spinich leaves on top of the cream cheese, put ham on top of the leaves and put swiss cheese on top of the ham and sprinkle chopped red onion down the middle... roll up really tight and store overnight in a ziplock bag.... the next day slice them up and you have what my family calls.... "those buritto roll up things"

and, to toot my own horn.. yesterday the boss gave us each a king size hershey bar with almonds ( my favorite)... I brought it home for DH... haven't touched a bite.... but I did have two life savers today...

Nancy scarry thing a fire... thankfully no one was hurt.

have a fun night, I think I am going to go cut some fabric.... be back soon

I made tacos for dinner tonight and they were so good. Getting ready to give my DD a bath and settle in for the evening.

Chriss, those "burrito things" sound so yummy!!!! (I'm still hungry!) I copied down the directions, thank you!!!!

Well, dinner's over but I'm still hungry...(I think I already said that! lol!)

Just got an email from my one and only LQS...they are closing due to the economy...(sniff). I don't go there too often..but still I know it's there if I really need a fabric to complete a quilt--plus the advice! Guess alot of people just can't afford to shop there now. There's probably going to be a big sale, though!

Chriss - I amj with you when it comes to KFC Your roll ups sound much better.

I am in my sewing room working on the mystery quilt.

Feeling better, but need to get rid of the cough - not getting much sleep. I am told it takes quite a while to lose the cough. Oh well, this too shall pass.

Fires are so scary when they are burning out of control. I hate anything that I cannot control.

Did go out for supper tonight. A new local restaurant had all you can eat Walleye for $6.99. I had never had walleye before - always heard it was good. Well, it was delicious. Even brought 4 pieces home that they served with the first helping and I could not eat.

I am already to be snowed in. We are suspose to get 4 to 6" of snow. I went to the store and got what I need. I plan to start cutting my sons wedding quilt tonight and just might stay up all night sewing. My husband is out of town, so I can do what ever I want... Yeah..
