Binding Scalloped edges...HELP NEEDED PLEASE...

Yes ctherrie, I would do another quilt with scalloped edges, but I think I will practice some more before I attempt it on a project like this DWR Quilt. I would even do another DWR if the opportunity arose, now that I understand the construction process.

I got out my Fons and Porter guide over the weekend and read up on scalloped bindings and they used a very narrow binding I think it was like an inch and half, I can see where that would be advantageous but it would be easy to over stretch it, did you use a binding that was narrower, or what you normally use width wise?

I cut the strips to make the binding at 3 inches. After piecing all the strips together for length needed, I folded in half and pressed, making the width 1 1/2 inches wide. After sewing binding to the front of the quilt, I foldedover to the back which gave me a 3/4 inch wide binding over all. On my straight sided quilts I used a two inch wide border.
