What is YOUR 2009 QUILTING RESOLUTION ...

Post by LadyRags » Sun Jan 04, 2009 7:18 am

MY 2009 QUILTING RESOLUTION ... is to finish as many UFOs as I can this year before starting a new project.

My second 2009 QUILTING RESOLUTION is to work out of my stash for any projects.... I do have a stash Eleanor would be envious of.

MY THIRD 2009 QUILTING RESOLUTION is to learn some new techniques this year and to master machine quilting on a domestic sewing machine. ... at least for small quilts.

Ladyrags - Please join us in Swaps - Stashbusters. I think that most of us have UFO's we want to finish.

I also always look for techniques I want to improve. Joining the BOM Party on website is one way I will be improving techniques, another is taking a couple classes online and at Quilt Festival in Long Beach in July.

I'm going month by month and have listed in the Stashbusters thread in Swaps. I've been trying to look at the 'big picture' and it just hasn't worked. I do have a list of UFO's that I would like to get completed, but this year, I'm taking it a month at a time....at least I'm starting out that way. @:)

I am talking about the bolt's of fabrics that Eleanor keeps in her home... 2 stores does not count... it has to be what you have in your domicile 0R ... IN STORAGE. Stores don't count ... sorry... HEE ! HEE!

I will bite where are the links to these stash buster sites you are talking about? Sorry I usually do not participate in swaps since I have enough trouble finishing my UFOs.... I never make deadlines even for family. ... My poor 9 month old grandson is still waiting for his quilt. I am making it bigger cause I want it to fit his toddler bed.

Ladyrags - We are not trading or sending our UFOs anywhere!! It is just listed under Swaps. The title of the post is "Stashbusters".

I have too many UFOs and have listed the projects I intend to work on this month and then next mont I will list others. It is keeping me focused on what I need to work on.

to find the stashbuster thread:

1. to to Category Listings
2. Click on Swaps, Round robins (BOM)
3. Click on Stashbusters!!
For more details on how it "works", send a pm to September, the gal who started the idea.
As I understand it, this is a motivational things rather than a swap.
Maybe someone else can lend more info.
