Quilt for a sick friend

Post by grammy65 » Fri Jan 02, 2009 1:21 am

One of the ladies in my little singing group has had some major health problems. We wanted to do something to show our love and support. I had all the gals pick out a fat quarter (a what...was most of their reactions. LOL) that kind of represented their personality. I appliqued a heart out of each of their fabrics to make the blocks. Then I had each of them write something on their block. The center block I embroidered and I also embroidered the label, and I can't believe I didn't take a picture of that. It had everyone's name on it. Anyway...this is the result

A beautiful quilt with such loving intentions. I know if I were her I would be so touched by such a generous jesture of love and concern.

Your embroidery is very nicely done and the quilting pattern is really cute.

That is a wonderful quilt. Love the quilting with the circle and coming through the middle of it. I haven't seen that done before. Thank you.
