Good Morning!!

I started out the day using my Wii Fit Balance Board and doing a few yoga stretches. Feels great!

Then I decided to have a cup of coffee, can't give that up quite yet and now I am getting ready to make a quilt sandwich. Of course that is not for breakfast.LOL

We will be heading out late tonight to ring in the New Year with some old friends and their families. We have done this for a few years now and it is great because our hostess has a party set up upstairs for the kids and one downstairs for the grownups. The kids have video games, tv, music and snacks in their upstairs gameroom and the older teens and grownups have tv and music and snacks downstairs. The littlest ones run up and down the stairs all night.LOL Last year the little ones were dressed in their halloween costumes, it was a hoot.

I hope to get a little sewing done today, DD#3 wants to go out and have coffee this morning, "for the last time this year". Sounds sweet doesn't it, but actually our coupons for a free cup of coffee expire today.LOL

Hope everyone has a safe New Years Eve and may the coming year bring health, wealth and prosperity to everyone. God Bless and Take Care.

Good Morning Everyone!
If you're happy and you know it, clap your hands. If you're happy and you know it, clap your hands. . . .

Now who started that? I have the song in my head and I don't know the words! LOL

Ann - Glad to see you are exercising! It will make you feel better for sure.

Vicky - Your project is beautiful! I have done the starch method of applique. I did take a class (online) that taught the freezer method though.

Yesterday, I finally got my projects all boxed so that they were more organized. It is embrassing how many projects I have started. Now I have the cutting table cleared so I can work. The plan tonight is to go to dinner and then a movie. My DH was saying we could go see "Bedtime Stories". Has anyone seen it?

Just made the mistake of watching the video while waiting for the coffee machine to finish. Now I REALLY need that first cup! Wish I had some of that energy, wish I could lose the song LOL!

Rain here for the day and 47 degrees. Good day for sewing. DH has a project in the basement he'll be working on and that's where my little Singer is that I use for piecing, so will be working on a block.

I remember Mom sprinkling clothes with an aluminum gizmo that fit onto a pop bottle or something, then putting the clothes in the fridge. My dad always wore short sleeve shirts, figuring that saved her the hassle of ironing the cuffs. Grandma had one of those mangles and even ironed sheets--GAWK!

A HAPPY new year to everyone!! Any new year's resolutions? Here's mine:

I'm at work until about 2:00 then we are headed to Liberty, TX to our best friend's house. It's about an hour+1/2 drive. I'll be staying until Saturday afternoon. DH has to come back and go to work Friday. So tonight we will play Spades and at midnight we will have black-eyed peas, cabbage, and the ham that I'm taking over there. I also made "Not Yo Mama's Banana Pudding" because everyone LOVES it. While I'm there I will quilt my nap quilt on the HQ-16 and Saturday morning my BFF and I are going to the Painted Pony Quilt Shop - my very favorite LQS. I am really looking forward to the next few days. Maybe it will help pull me out of my depression.

Y'all have a safe and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!

Happy New Year Hope all your dreams come true

I started a pinwheel quilt yesterday. I am so excited THE POINTS MATCHED. I am doing the happy dance. It looks like I know what I am doing.

Took Max to the groomer this morning. I overslept so I just put on a ball cap to hide my hair. Poor Max got so excited he thought he was going for a walk cause I always where a hat when we go walking.

Joanne - I remember sprinkling the clothes and sticking them in the frig. That was one of my jobs when I was a kid

Vicky - Beautiful quilt very ambitious You will have to keep us up on your progress.

Hope everyone has a safe and Happy New Year's. We have a high wind advisory today. And on top of that it was trash day. Empty trashcans all over the road. We always stay in and are usually in bed before midnight. We (even our 19 year old) are not much of party animals. Anyway, I have a pot of New Year's day soup on the stove. The version I am making has kale, black eyed peas, tomatoes. You are supposed to eat those 3 things for good luck. Anyway, everybody be safe and merry.
