Arizona Summer Quilt
Hi all,
I made this from El's Dessert Time booklet (just cut my own 2.5" strips and 10" squares)

Very pretty! It does look like an Arizona summer! It could also be called an Arizona sunset...the sunsets are gorgeous there.
I lived in AZ for 3 years not too long ago. I'm not sure where Topock is-I'll have to consult a map. Thanks for sharing your picture.

Topock is on western edge of AZ at I-40 (just before you cross the Colorado River into CA). I actually live in Golden Shores, about 5 miles north of I-40 (but Topock PO).

Funny, I worked all day on a Dessert Time quilt; it's for a neighbor-to-be who has helped us with our house construction. I found a pack of 10" charm squares of building materials: wood, bricks, stone. Mixed them with some beiges, browns, greens, blues, and a barn red and it looks great!
A smaller version of the pattern would make a great "I Spy" quilt for a little one; need to make one for my little 9 month old buddy, Max.
