Very pretty! It does look like an Arizona summer! It could also be called an Arizona sunset...the sunsets are gorgeous there. I lived in AZ for 3 years not too long ago. I'm not sure where Topock is-I'll have to consult a map. Thanks for sharing your picture.

Topock is on western edge of AZ at I-40 (just before you cross the Colorado River into CA). I actually live in Golden Shores, about 5 miles north of I-40 (but Topock PO).

Funny, I worked all day on a Dessert Time quilt; it's for a neighbor-to-be who has helped us with our house construction. I found a pack of 10" charm squares of building materials: wood, bricks, stone. Mixed them with some beiges, browns, greens, blues, and a barn red and it looks great!

A smaller version of the pattern would make a great "I Spy" quilt for a little one; need to make one for my little 9 month old buddy, Max.
