Denise, that's beautiful and thanks so much for sharing. Pistachio nut shells? Sounds like a dumb question, but where do you get them? Do you just save the shells after you've eaten the delicious nuts? Do you have to freeze the first?
I just love that all of you share your creativity. My creativity is limited to picking up a pattern and using exactly what it says!!!! LOL

Denise your thread catcher is terrific!! I really love your colors!
The pattern I use, calls for a small 6x6 inch tile as the base for pin cushion. Less messy than sand, imho.
WOW, did anyone else notice Denise's sewing table top? Slick idea! And a great way to keep your rulers and other stuff that clutters the table top. I've got to keep that idea in mind! Happy trails, jacquie

Thank you all for your compliments!
Carol, To respond to your "not" dumb question, I saved the shells after I've eaten the delicious nuts. My DH wanted to throw them in the garbage. I told him: "Don't you dare!" LOL
Jacquie, I have posted previously pictures of my sewing table & the link for the pattern. Take a look!
Love & hugs

Denise, maybe we should all save you our pistachio shells! LOL I've never thought about "recycling" them. I have heard of using walnut shells so I guess it's the same thing.
Thanks for the good idea!
