Second BIG Scrap Quilt

This one is made of 2 1/2 and 4 1/2 inch squares. I still have some leftover that I'll probably use on the back. I still need to put the border on but at least it's mostly finished. Not sure how I'm going to get it quilted. It's too big for me to do and it'll be a while before I can afford to have it done. That's okay though, it'll wait.

DD came home and sew it and said "you have way too much time on your hands!" This is what keeps me marginally sane.

Yes, it is Elvis at the bottom. I never used this fabric in a quilt, I bought is especially for this project so technically it's not a scrap. lol

Beautiful job, Ms. Scrap Angel. Too much time on your hands? I don't think so.......what about all the projects for the future that I'm sure you have grand plans for? lol Thanks so much for sharing this pic with us.......who's the face towards the bottom of the quilt below to? Is it Elvis?

Great scrappy quilt! Can I ask how long it took you? I look forward to making my own scrappy quilt one day. I've been saving even little pieces.

That is a great looking quilt! It's amazing how well those little scrap pieces look when sewn together, isn't it?

Yes, MaryEllen, that is Elvis! I never used that fabric in a quilt, I actually bought a half yard just for this project!

It's hard to say how long this quilt took to make. I worked on it in between other projects until it got to a point where I just wanted to get it finished.

Thank you all for your kind words. My next project will be all half-square triangles. I've already started it.

I love your quilt. I am going to start cutting my scraps into pieces for a project like this. I love it.

I currently just "keep" my scraps and they are not very organized at all. In fact they are "0" organized, just tossed into one of those pop up net things. Then when I am looking for a scrap to use under my needle I do not want to use them because they are too big and I might find a use for them. I have now solved both problems. lol

Thanks for the post

I love your quilt. Towards the bottom of both pictures, there is a piece that looks like Elvis. Is it?
