TGIF - it has been a rough, busy week. I've spent a large part of the past two days scratching up last minute things for our CPA and doing the payroll here. And I had only one free night this week and I was too tired to do anything but veg. I am so hoping to get in my sewing studio tonight. If nothing else I need to get together my secret pal's gift so I can mail it next week. Tomorrow DH and I are going Christmas shopping when he gets off work. Tomorrow morning I will be able to sew and get the laundry done. I feel the need for a power nap when I get home. I am zapped!

Joanne - your train night sounds like such fun.
Carol - I hope everything will be OK with your eye. That sounds scary.
Tul - have fun at your Christmas party.
Everyone sounds so busy - ho ho ho - it's that time of year. Y'all sure are getting lots of things made. Have a great afternoon and evening.

Joannesquilts, SFOQuilter posted a link for pictures she downloaded of the large charm tote. If you just make it 2 charms tall and 3 charms across you get the smaller version that zfatcat did. I hope this helps....

Good Evening All

Just got home from work a little while ago....long scary drive as it started snowing here about 2:00pm and the roads were terrible. The freeway was bad, but the side streets are even worse. Had to take it really slow as I am the world's biggest ninny when it comes to driving in snow! (So WHY do I live in Minnesota!!!)

DD is getting some supper made for us, then I think I"ll head down to the sewing room this evening for a little while and get things lined up that I want to do this weekend. Still trying to decide if I want to haul out Christmas decor and tree this weekend or not. Lots of house chores need to get done too. Wonder what it will take to bribe DD to scrub a floor or two!! LOL

See y'all later
Mary

I just stopped by to say hi....I have been having more trouble that started with teeth issues and it has been going on since the Paducah show in April. Finally, a month or so ago, I developed a facial nerve condition that has given me such intense pain. This pain trumps, kidney stone pain and a c-section without anesthesia combined. Anyway that is why I have not been my usual (charming, fun) self on here. LOL
I have been drunk as Cootie Brown from the narcotics and nerve conduction meds. I have worked on a quilt for my granddaughter and it looks like "Drunkard's Path" but unfortunately I am just trying to topstitch with a grid.
This condition has stolen my sense of humor and sarcasm and I really hate that as it leaves me vulnerable to my kids when I can't come back at them with a smarta$$ remark.
Have a good weekend.

We had a great time at the Victorian Country Christmas. Bought lots of cool junk. I got one of those candles that are dipped different colors and then carved and twisted to show the colors...Beautious
DD found a necklace she HAD TO HAVE for Chritmas, so I got that even though I don't really need anything else for her.

I had put a roast in the crockpot so dinner was more or less ready when we got home. That is always nice... We did a lot of walking and are pooped. I think we will play scrabble for awhile.

Everyone have a good evening

I hope everyone has had a GREAT Friday. I got some sewing done before and after work today. I got my Lover's Knot quilt done, the backing is measured and in the washer, the binding is cut and ready to press and sew. I have to get ready for bed now since I have to be at work before 6 tomorrow and the hospital Christmas party is tomorrow night, after I work a 12 1/2 hour day.

Happy quilting.

Carol...Bears at 10 sounds great I just got back from there aI bought some backing fabric and needed to wash it. I will return it tomorrow with the quilt top. Vivs is cranking out the tops he had one almost finished today that is beautiful and another one ready to load on the LA. I am sure with the economy the LA quilting is helping to keep the store going.

I also was at the Quilt Cupboard (got my F4 and their pattern) but will of course go back tomorrow. I went to both with Buttercup hit the Quilt Cupboard first because I thought if I could find the backing I wouldn't have to keep looking tonight.
