Secret Santa REVEAL DAY

Well, it must be 10 o'clock somewhere 'cause I just opened my SSP!!! The clock on the computer is presently reading 8:06, must be wrong.

Thank you so much Sandy Wubbena - still_learning4 - for being my Secret Santa! I love everything you sent, in fact I think you might be a mind reader!

Let me see, starting with the beautiful Christmas card, oh! you got me with the "Peace on Earth" with the snowman, and your lovely letter about yourself and your family. You brought your husband and kids to life with the picture you painted, thank you.

Just a few! -ha ha ha- other things in my Santa sack of goodies:

a beautiful quilt card, I am going to put it on the wall in my sewing room, too pretty to send to someone!

the coolest package of "kleenex" tissues I have ever seen.

a Santa towel, for the bathroom.

two very pretty pieces of fabric in paisley, and colors I love!

a sack of hot chocolate mix for grownups! and a papier mache "sack" painted with a snowman and full of hersheys kisses, and a box of Lifesaver original flavor candy canes (all mine!).

a log cabin wallhanging Christmas tree book from QIAD, so you hit two things there Sandy! I have always wanted to do a log cabin, and now I can hang it on my wall!

and a handy gripper, one of those things that you put on your cutting ruler so you don't slice up your thumb holding the ruler and can also control the ruler, and obviously Sandy read my mind here because I can't control those darn rulers for straight cuts! It will also save my poor carpel tunnel hands from aching. I have actually had my eye on one of these for quite a while.

Wow! I feel blessed Sandy, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

And thank you Mary Q for starting this Secret Santa exchange, it has been a blast.

I did take pictures, have to use the other computer to download from the camera and then will attempt to post a picture later today, right after I make my reservation at the funny farm where they will drag me when I go crazy trying to figure out how to post a picture, and my helper is in Kuwait and unavailable! Those darn kids!

Thank you Patty!!!! I hd a touch of the flu last night and had gone to bed early. Sometime after midnight I woke up. DH and the furbabies were just settling in. I asked DH what his plans were for today. I asked him if it was the 10, and then I said Today is Wednesday.Today is wednesday, I looked at the clock and flew out of the bed. DH was laughing, and I grabbed my package and raced upstairs. I told him I can open it now, it's aftermidnight. He just laughed more. I told him it 12:41, I am all ready 40 minutes later then everyone else.I started on the package and had some trouble, it was sealed great. He says you're going to be 41 minutes later then every one. The first thing I saw was the apron!! I was reading the instructions, and telling DH what the fabric line was-and then I opened the envelope-expecting a letter from you-it caught me by surprise to see El smiling at me. My first thought was El has stationary!! When I saw it was gift certificate, all I could say was, oh mys gosh, oh my gosh,
Thank you, I love it!! I was hard put not to get up and post then. DS3 was online so I would have had to bump him off. I laid in bed and thought about how to spend the certificate!! Thank you, you are a very generous, and thoughtful person, who knew exactly what I would love and enjoy!!! Thank You-Thank You-hugs and warm wishes coming your way!!!

Good morning all! I had to open my SS package this morning too and am so glad I did!

Piecemaker (Joycelyn) in FL you are wonderful! I am so STOKED about my gifts! Which include the coolest pair of Sunbonnet Sue socks ever! I'm a sucker for socks! An awesome quilting book, sorry can't think of the name right off hand, but I did look through it and will probably make every quilt there! Some PRE-CUT hearts w/ 2 fabrics wrapped around them, which I know exactly what I'm going to do w/ them, the best part!? These hearts already have the fusible on them, can't get much more AWESOME that that! Some peppermint cocoa & sconce mix, which I will be making this weekend! A thimble, did I mention that I'm a sucker for thimbles too? Some fabric squares and a really awesome looking book, "What I learned from God while quilting". How appropriate is that? I took pictures and will post them later, I'm sure I'm forgetting something, but for the life of me I can't think of what else. Thank you so much Joycelyn, you are the BEST SS ever!!

Opened my beautifully wrapped gift from Denise(dwaterfield)from Ohio. I really love the book from Bits and Pieces-18 Small Quilts from FQs and Scraps, and the beautiful 1930's FQs in my favorite colors.
Thank you so much! Just the perfect gift! Recently I've become very interested in small quilts. Great way to use my scraps! How could you have possibly known this?!! Many thanks again.

My Secret Santa has brought me to tears. I can't tell you how much her gift means to me. She really outdid herself. I love the note cards with the reindeer on it, and the sticky notes with my initial on it, and the cute snowman recipe cards. The cute fridge note pad with the bears on it are adorable. Oh and the "welcome to the cabin" ornament, couldn't be cuter! I can't wait to make the beautiful fat quarter star lap quilt. The fabrics are perfect! I am eating the m&ms, so they aren't in the picture If all that wasn't enough, with the perfect lodge look wrapping papers they all came in, My Secret Santa made a mini Christmas quilt out of the Bento Box pattern (which she included) that had my Christmas poem that I wrote about the quilt that I made from my old Christmas dress!!!!! When I saw that, I was so touched, I am still crying. The quilt is beautiful. I love the colors and fabrics. I was so shocked to see my poem on this beautiful quilt. I will truly treasure this for the rest of my life. Judy (Blue Moon) is my Secret Santa, who I think is really an angle. Judy,I am so thrilled with your thoughtfulness, in each gift right down to the wrapping paper. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, you are beyond wonderful. Vinae (javin22)

Well the mailman came & went, leaving no SS pkg today. Now I get to wait & see if UPS guy does, lol. Glad alot of you have received yours, as the wait is still on for alot of us it seems. Keep posting when yours arrives, so the sender knows, as I am still waiting to see if mine arrived to my person yet!
