Monday's here! November 24th

Post by momof6quilts » Mon Nov 24, 2008 1:32 am

It's cold outside this morning. Warm in here in front of the coal stove though. I plan to work on another bag today, intertwined with doing some homeschooling with the kids. Short week for that this week.

Hope everyone plans for Thanksgiving are all coming together. Have fun cooking.

Good Morning. I too have to finish up my Christmas SP gift... I don't want to get it in the mail too early so I am thinking the day after Thanksgiving. and after work I get to hit the grocery store.... just need to get the odds and ends for turkey day... and if I spend $99 I will get a free turkey....

hope you all have a fun day.

Good morning!

Iowagal...a Colts quilt....sigh...I get to wear the jersey with pride today!

Its too early to tell if it will be a sunny day, so I'm wearing layers in case they 'forgot' to turn the heat on at school again!

I'd rather stay home and bake (and sew)!

Have a good day!

Good morning y'all. It's kind of warm and muggy this morning but we are having a cool front ths evening. I thought I had my Thanksgiving dinner grocery shopping done but I forgot onions and celery for the dressing - DUH. Now I have to go back to the store and it's always very crowded the few days before Thanksgiving and Christmas. What would normally take me 10 minutes will probably take me close to 45 minutes this evening - grrrrrr.

So if a Colts jersey is being worn with pride it must mean the Chargers lost last night....sigh....

Don't know how much sewing will get done today. Am working on the piano key border for a Dessert Time quilt from QIAD. Making pairs of keys from scraps which is NOT fun; need to make about 10-12 more pairs, then I can start putting them together. I love the look of piano keys but wish I could have strip pieced them. Oh well, I am using a ton of stash!

I got the cording embellishment on the Cold Hands, Warm Heart piece yesterday. VERY pleased with the adhesive I used, NO TRACE of it on a white fabric, no shiny residue, no "wet" stains, AND it is flexible now that it's dry--YES! Came out like a thin gel, pretty easy to control the flow. I was VERY careful with it, used as little as possible, spread it along with a toothpick, but part of the success is the nature of the product. Label says Aleene's Fabric Fusion. "permanent dry-cleanable fabric adhesive"

I did a partial tidy of sewing area; need to put away the stacks of fabric I am done using to get the table cleared off. Lots of other stuff to do today as well. May need a nap later...

Good Morning Cold and crisp here but the sun is shinning

I got the apron almost finished yesterday, but I think the neck strap is too long so I am going to shorten it.

I expect my sister anytime this morning so I should go get my shower. We are going to the movies later to see "The Boy in the Stripped Pajamas", should be a really good movie.

Chriss - you are at apoint where a cigarette would actually make you sick if you smoked it....ain't tht great!!!

Mommyquilts - I am shocked.... girl you are living in BRONCO territory now
