Re: DWR quilt progress
Thanks everyone. Today I got the first row together and starting on the second. I'll take a pic of the rows as soon as I find something big enough to hang it on for taking the picture.

Loverly colors, soft and calming. Which pattern did you use, as I have several, and this looks like an easy pattern I have, but never used. Should make one for daughter. She is remarring, June 20 in Estes Park, Co. Their colors are navy and white. Thanks for sharing.

Re: DWR quilt progress
I have now completed row 4 and starting on row 5. Pilot2b I actually used directions and templates from 4 different sources. When I first started, I couldn't find a template for DWR so I used templates for pickle dish to make set pieces. I used El's template for the arc pieces. I couldn't afford to get the fusable so I used construction techniques given for traditional DWR from 'Innovative Machine Quilting' by Hettie Risinger, copyright 1980. Then I found a DWR pattern and templates by Sharlene Jorgenson which also gave some good advice for construction. I've worked it all out to formulate my own construction technique, LOL.
I am going to see if one of the local furniture stores will allow me to lay out what I have completed on one of there show room queen size beds today to help determine if I should put all 8 rows or stop at 7 rows. The blocks were suppose to be 12" finished, turns out they are close to 20", LOL.
As soon as I can get some help to hang it up, I'll take an updated pic of progress for you to see.

Re: DWR quilt progress
Yippeeeeeeeeeeeeee, I got row 5 together today. Just need to attach it to the first 4.
I've seen the work that all of you have posted, and I'm sure you would all be able to do one of these. I found the hardest part of doing it was reading the instructions, LOL. Once you have the pattern written out step by step it's really not that hard.

I love Wedding Ring quilts, but you are much braver than me -- I don't expect to ever attempt to sew one. It will be beautiful when you finish.
