Hey guys... we may have a hiccup... Michelle is moving in like less than 2 weeks... I think the day before the blocks are due... so she may need to drop out which means we will need to make our own trees... unless a new person can get 18 of them done and to me by the due date... but that is a lot of blocks to finish that short of time... they would probably need to be done and sent by the 23rd at the latest to get here on time! This was an unexpected moving timeline... If we have to do our own trees... I will mail the patterns for a paper pieced, a rotary cut and a template pattern for them and you will be getting an extra one of your own blocks back...

Any thoughts?
Alina

did you contact Joanne? Maybe she could step in and make them and mail them directly to people by say the 15th of March or if she did them maybe we could all wait a week after your original due date.

Carolyn... I pm'd Joanne to see if she would be up for the challenge to get them done by the due date... that is not very much time, so I don't blame her one bit if it won't work out... I am not comfortable with extending the deadline because I want this wrapped up so I can start on another one and it isn't really fair to hold up everyone's blocks... so if she can't step in as a sub then we will all just have to make our own trees... I can help those not comfortable with making their own...

Cheers!

I'm done with my turkeys, I can try the trees too. Maybe Joanne and I can split the trees? i'm off tomorrow, can you send me the tree directions tonight?

If we end up needing to make our own I could help out if someone doesn't think they can do it if so I would like a paperpieced version

Michelle... I sent you the three versions... I really don't have any extra time to make up the trees, I wish I did... this week is very busy for us with school and scouts! I really don't expect anyone who has already done 18 blocks to take on more... it isn't fair to you guys... and would cost more in postage and fabric and a lot of time...I have already made a bunch of geese to make up for Susanna's absence... and I know a lot of you have stepped up to help make this work! I appreciate you all! So if a new person doesn't want to sub then I think it would be best if everyone just made their own (1) block... and those of us able to help those who don't think they can, help those few... What do you all think?

Yes, but I know things happen that we don't plan for and I am a big believer of karma. What goes around comes around, and if I can make even a few more trees than what we already have (none!) then I am just paying it forward. Let me look at the patterns and check back in.

Joanne is looking at the patterns and seeing if she can help out!

Hang loose until I hear back from her!

Thanks!
