Re: Thursday - Oct. 16, 2008 -- Let's do some sewing!
Good afternoon all. Home from work and ready for a nap. There is no school tomorrow as it is records day, so I can sew to my little heart's content. I'm kinda on a roll now. I think I know which UFO will be worked on next.
DH is taking me to dinner - nothing fancy, but I'm not cooking it.
Will probably spend the rest of the evening in the sewing room. I have so much ambition now it is frightening.
I'm going to start my little group w/ books next week. The principal wants a group to be reading, by golly they will. This job would be a lot of fun if it wasn't for a couple of little hooligans.
I'll pop in later to see if things are picking up. Have a nice afternoon.

Back from the movies. Wallee was a good movie.
Bad news is I twisted my ankle going into the theater! And wouldn't you believe it, it was on the part of the sidewalk that curves down to accommodate a wheelchair! I didn't notice the difference until I stepped wrong and OUCH! Luckily, DS is a licensed driver and he drove us home. I sat through the movie with my ankle swelling. :^( Well, I guess I'll wrap it and go back to the recliner and elevate it! I'm so graceful I should have been a ballerina!

Evie,
I am so sorry to hear that you twisted your ankle. I have that graceful gene too. LOL I once fell over a stick flat on my front. I was carrying cupcakes for my son. They broke my fall, but sure didn't look very appetizing afterwards. LOL I hope elevating you ankle helps.

Evie - Ouch! I am so sorry to hear you hurt your ankle. Don't forget to put some ice on it! When I broke my leg (near the ankle) I learned that elevate really means four pillows high and lying on the bed. LOL Please go take care of your ankle!

Wow, I hope you are feeling better Evie. I think I have that gene...I walk into door jams at home all the time, even with the lights on.
Wow, ya'll are a busy group. I saw that quilterbee (Amie)has about 30 plus quilts to do! I am amazed that ya'll can get so much done.
I hope that ya'll have a great evening. God give everyone comfort and joy.

We all must be related! LOL
I've got my ankle wrapped. It's been so long since I've twisted an ankle so I don't remember how long it takes to heal.
We're watching Smallville now. It's my youngest son's favorite show.

I'm so happy, I need to report: I finished my friendship swap blocks today and got them in the mail. What a relief and excitement. Not too long and we'll have all the blocks back and can start on a really beautiful quilt! Have a great sewing evening, everyone. HUGS, carol/kittyquilt

Carol/Kittyquilt,
Good for you! Getting those projects done on time is really a relief, isn't it? Sometimes when we take on a project to get in the mail it is almost too much pressure. I know that I was so glad when I got the teacups in the mail. I really was worried I would be late, but they arrived in time. Now I am waiting for the return, I really am looking forward to them.
