SIGNUPS ARE CLOSED, THIS IS JUST REFERENCE FOR THOSE IN THE SWAP

Hello all Secret Santas,
Some had asked some questions about timing and interim gifts, so I found the original guidelines Maryq posted in July:

Good Evening Gals

As promised here at the details of Secret Santa. Basically the same as last year, but for you new folks here it is:

1. Deadline to sign up is August 31st

2. You will be notified of your partner on or about Sept 6th (I'm "on call" that weekend so I know I'll be home the whole time to get messages out to everybody)


3. Spending limit is about $20.00 This does not mean you have to go out and spend exactly $20. You can use items you have on hand, fabric you have on hand etc etc. Everybody's budgets are different. I believe in the THOUGHT, not the cost!!

4. Mail to your partner by December 1st.

5. Opening day is December 10th. And no PEEKING ALLOWED!!! If you just can't resist... have some one HIDE it from you LOL

6. You are NOT required to MAKE a gift, that is an option

7. IF you find you have to bow out, it is certainly understandable, as things often happen in life that we don't plan for. But PLEASE let me know by PM as soon as you can, so that I can make other arrangements for your partner.

8. Send me a PM with your screen name, real name and address, and this information:
**** favorite color
**** least favorite color
**** favorite type of fabric; 30's CW; batiks etc etc
**** do you have allergies to foods, flavors, smells, candles that type of thing
**** Do you collect anything, besides fabric!!
**** Pets?
**** Anything else you would like your partner to know about you.
**** Your occupation if you care to share! And you stay-at-home Mom's That is AN OCCUPATION!!!

For the gals that have sent me your info already, I have saved it all in a special file and will forward that info to your partner.


IF, you want to send a small gift to your partner during the month of November.... you are free to do that.. But keep that a secret so that OPENING DAY will be the reveal day.

Remember that this project is all about the spirit of Christmas, the spirit of giving. The time of year when we can show some of the people in our lives how much they mean to us. Do not let this stress you out. Remember, I'm just a PM away!

Thanks Carol for the update !!!!

I was going to post a note to just check in and see how everybody was doing. Hope it's going well for all of you.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, if there are any problems let me know. I have a back up system in place. Lots of things can change between September and December and if something happens and you can't continue to participate, let me know. No shame in it at all!!!

Thanks for the update on the guidelines, I needed to be refreshed..
It would be great if we could have one posting area for the receipt of the small gifts as they are sent. It is really hard to decide which one to post to or check on our packages... Just a thought!!
